I bought a 7.62x39 upper from them, good fit n finish but I haven't fired it yet. There's a thread on it here: http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s....php?t=1185156

Reviews seem positive so I gave it a go.

They have this one at $259 shipped.

I ordered the 5.56 for $259. It is the one with the 15" rail and 1:8 barrel. Looks good in picture. we will see how it is when it comes in.

I hope to finally try out the 24 inch barrel I bought for CBC and will give my impression of it in a range report soon.

Quick Range report:

I compared this upper with a custom one 24 inch and also a JP high end one with cryogenically treated barrel with heat dissipating fins.

This is "OK" but not a precise as the others. If the other two group 1MOA with factory 55gr ammo, the CBC was double the size using different ammo - wolf, Independence, Match and European made ammo.

Hope this helps out others who are considering.

Yep it was. I used a PSA bolt carrier, and it did not light off rounds - which I attribute to the stiff new carrier and bolt as my hard chrome bolt and custom upper using the same lower lit off the rounds consistently.

Still need more break in time but the barrel was not as accurate as the more premium stuff ... so once again, you get more if you pay more for quality.

Smile CBC Industries' AR15 Upper came in today. LOOKS GREAT.

I ordered this Upper from CBC Industries:

http://www.cbcindustries.com/collect...handguard-rail

Received order confirmation very quickly and the shipping notice a few days later. Well, it came in today. That was much faster than I expected.

It was Carefully Double Packed for shipping. First in bubble wrap and placed in a hard tube. The tube was then placed in a shipping box. I had called and requested that the muzzle device be only hand tightened as I am going to put a Compensator on it. Done as requested. I like this one so much I am going to order another.

I should add that they are very nice people and extremely pleasant and helpful on the phone.

The Upper is just beautiful. The barrel (1:8) has a shiny black nitride coating. The upper receiver and rails are anodized in a nice dark black. Well put together with no marks or dings of any sort. Has a well made, smooth and sturdy 15" key mod rail that is just the right size (not too thick) for a good forward grip. I am very pleased with this AR upper and do not think you can find a better upper for this price ($259.00). Shipping was free and very fast.

I will have this upper at the next meeting of Southern Calif Calgun SFV Chapter in June for all to see.

I would be interested in your take of this upper with range test(s). All you have said above is valid.

In all fairness, I took the 24 inch 1/9 CBC upper back to the range for another session.

1) Thoroughly cleaned out the bore. Originally the bore had black machining oil. That may have affected initial accuracy reports - I only cleaned it quickly to get it out to the range.

2) I changed to another lower with Mil-Spec parts - including a stiffer hammer spring.

3) I put on a nice Leupold scope with Leupold Mk 4 rings.

4) I used a few boxes of Taiwanese (not Russian) Wolf Gold - known in my hands to deliver subMOA groups with long barrel ARs.

I'm happy to report that the groups were much better. I had one failure to feed but the groups were about MOA 5 rounds separated about 30 seconds.

It was easy to engage 3 brought pasties at 200yrds - keeping all the groups within the 3 inch target.

The bore swabbed out nicely and smooth.
The Keymod rail is nice, the skinnies of all the fore rails I've encountered thusfar.

Still, a bargain upper for it's performance. This weekend's performance changed my appreciate of this CBC upper assembly (24 inch 1/9 twist).

Because of this ad, i now need to shop for two bcgs. How long did you guys wait on shipping? I guess i got thwir more premium uppers, the 200 something dollar uppers got me on the site, but ended up spending about double that on two different uppers.

I got an email confirmation in about a week and shipped to me in a cardboard tube in about 10-14 days.

Best bargain for a long time. As good or better than any PSA upper sale.

In fairness to PSA they have sales for $249 uppers with out bcg and charging handle all the time. I bought one with a stainless barrel and mlok hand guard for $249 shipped to my door last weekend during the Memorial Day sale. Got shipping notification yesterday and will have it Friday.

Here are two delivered to your door for under $200:

Well I blew it. Was about to order the 7.62x39 upper with the 15" rail last night for $259 and decided to just hold off until this morning. It's now $319.

No Doubt PSA has some great deals on some quality products.

I've never seen an upper from them with 24 inch barrel and rails for about $250. These long barrel uppers usually significantly higher.

They do run a perpetual 16 inch complete upper assembly (no BCG/charging handle) bread and butter upper in the $200-$220 range.

Still a great place to get your AR equipment before the legislature of Kalif comes and spoils the party.

The ones from PSA that ^^ are under $200 come with the basic hand guard. There is no rail system on them and that is an extra $100 t0 $150 dollar item at a minimum by itself.

The uppers from CBC have the 11" or 15" Key Mod Rail System included for $259.00.

Plus those two PSA uppers have that huge ugly front site. That is ok if you want a Service looking AR but not good if you want a flat top with rails to add your own optics, low profile sites, light, laser, etc.

Just pulled the trigger on a 7.62x39 upper with bcg and ch for $305 shipped. Added to cart and got an email the next day to complete my purchase for an additional 10% off by using coupon code CBCIND. It may work for anybody to use. Couldn't resist with the good review's and great price.

Same bcg except the bolt head is reemed out to except the larger 762x39 and larger extractor. Ordered mine and it shipped with a 556 bolt. Ordered another bolt from another vendor on sale while CBC was shipping theirs.(spare) Then I had a huge tragity befall me. Haven't looked or touch a firearm in a month.

Figure it's a longshot, but anybody order the 16" 7.62x39 upper w/ 15" rail and feel like selling it? I'd like to buy one but without more reviews I was only interested in the $259 price. They seem to be raising prices on everything each week now.
