recommend a driver bit set?
i have a weaver torque wrench screwdriver bought eons ago. I bought a BKL ring set for my kid's cz scout 457 but none of the driver bits it comes with fit on the allen head rings bolts that the BKL comes with. I think i managed to use the weaver before on my other rings/scopes since I don't recall having any issues before. But frankly, I don't recall using since bought 10 yrs ago. Maybe I did my past rings gut und dicht?
only finding out now since buying them last year Nov since I wanted the kid to be better on iron sights first. it's this weaver version https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1009242036?pid=998374&cm_mmc=S_Spop-Email-_-Service_Emails-_-OrderConfirmation-_-ProductLink i see a wheeler 43pc one but are all 2a parts related bolts SAE? but it comes with a screwdriver handle and looking for just a bit set. If you know what bit you need, you can buy the individual Magna Tip bit from Brownells.

thanks gorn5150. i saw that but didn't need the screwdriver part. i have a generic one anyway in my toolbox.
napalmcheese, was just looking for a set that would include most. i found it odd my set didn't allow for the bolts on bkl rings. it was also sae since i brought out my metric and sae allen wrenches. i just snug things for now since even bkl said "crank it down" to tighten it . but i don't know if the torque i put is > 35 inch lbs but hopefully not just to have it bit and not move. will have to use the phone to see if i can see the size of the sae allen i used via photo / zoom. the sears ones i got eons ago have it etched on the side but hard to see. |
