Ventura Meet @ Island View 2/22/13

When: Friday, February 22nd at 6:00pm. (Range closes at 8:00pm)

Fee is $5.00 for the day (all day). IVE is also providing access to their members lounge so we can hang out (members lounge is in the back of the building on the right).

Ammo restrictions: No steel jacketed bullets (their bullet trap is steel and those could damage it) so brass cased only. Also, no black powder

What calibers can we shoot? up to 50BMG.

Any questions - please feel free to ask

Remember that we are representing the CalGuns community so please treat their facility with respect.

Would it be O-K for our organizational team to meet up on the 22nd @ Island View for some shooting and posting a few fliers?

Also, we would be interested in any support the local chapter of Cal Guns or Island View could give our event. We are expecting strong local support for the 2nd Amendment, but it can only happen with support from everybody concerned.

Also, we are still looking for a Speaker for our event if anyone is capable and interested.

Short version, a new member was seeking some advice about shooting w/ a disability and another user offered to purchase the equipment needed. The rest of us are working to hook him up w/ other gear.

So I contacted IVE and they responded back that they're donating a Range Membership to the effort!

Thought I'd try and let you know while you're there so you can pass on thanks in person for this cool gesture. That is if redmonkey hasn't already told you.
