Default Women-Only Force-on-Force Scenario Training | Any Interest?

Hi all,

Sorry to crash the Ladies thread, but we wanted to gauge the level of interest in possibly hosting a women-only Threat Scenarios class, catered to... well, anything you ladies would find useful (tell us!).

We provide the shoot house and role players to simulate real-life situations; our focus is not so much hand-to-hand/krav maga combat, but more focused on immersing you situation of potential conflict, and how to escalate/de-escalate situations with the use verbal commands, body language, tactical movement, and the use of a deadly weapon. We traditionally go full gear and use UTMs (like simunitions, but better), but also can set up classes with no return-fire, using dummy guns, blanks, rubber edge/impact weapons, etc. You, however, get to shoot us plenty

We are located in the SF Bay Area. Any interest? Poll above!

I voted "yes" because I find the proposal interesting. However, because I am 8-hours away, I would not be willing to travel to SF to take such a class.

I think women would benefit from a general course which provides them with the skills to know how to defend themselves in their own homes. Unless one has a bunch of older brothers, we women typically weren't taught how to fight growing up. Some of the high-speed SIM scenarios might be too much for an entry level class; but, the rest of the items you mentioned would be ok for a first-level class. The shoot house would be good for a follow-up, second-level class.

I think BadKitty nailed it.

Bad Kitty you can do the same type of force on force in Lake Forest at Artemis. I recommend that those who can take up the OPs offer does so, the ability to deal with a situation, the speed of violence, its so valuable to get that as training rather than a real world encounter.

Thank you for the recommendation. I receive this type of training through my employer; but, other women in Southern California might benefit from looking into Artemis.

LOL...thanks.
Sounds good. Of course as a POST Certified trainer, who also does special forces work professionals can even get specialized scenarios if they want to work on an area. As Lt. Col Dave Grossman who trains there says, if your inner puppy is worried the answer is training.

But I understand. The civilian seldom gets the chance to experience the speed of violence without being a victim. Love to see people take advantage of this kind of training. The bay area thing sounds great, hopefully he has contacted the local Well Armed Women chapters.

Stay safe all, and a Very Happy New Year.
