That's an impressive lookin scope, at attractive price point. I think it just jumped to the top of my list. In for a 223/556, how about that discount Dimitri?

Not up to me but you might want to sign up for notification,the 7.62x39 version scope lasted 3 days before going out of stock! We have had an overwhelming amount of requests on it and other ACSS reticle optics.

Dimitri:

I don't see this on PA website so I'll ask here. What size battery does PA 1-6x take? And does it come with one initial battery?

Dimitri,
What is your preferred method to setting this scope in the mount and do you have a cats tail that fits this scope?

What is the diameter of the magnification ring? One can always use an aftermarket cat tail like the one Vortex makes if the sizing fits.

I don't mean the scope mount itself, I already have a Warne Ramp Mount for it. I mean how do you suggest leveling the reticle.

Got it!

I mount an anticant device then look through the scope at something level, tighten scope loose enough to turn and level out crosshair against a wall or anything straight n level confirm with anticant and tighten. I even cant a hair to account for spin drift!

Any idea how quickly you guys will get another run in/if you will carry this regularly? I will likely not be able to afford it until next year unless I sell of my ACOG, which I really don't want to do at this point, unless you can tell me this glass is trijicon quality in terms of optics.

I think people that sign up get a day notice or so. It will be one per house hold so if you need more make plans now.

Looking at the ADM mounts, is there an appreciable difference between the scout and recon mounts? I see that one has two levers vs one. On a scope this size, is it going to have any real difference in return to zero, etc? I'm not planning on banging on it with a mallet or anything...

I doubt it. Look at the reviewers below that.
=======================
Don't waste your money on plastic December 3, 2013
Reviewer: disappointed from SAN TAN VALLEY, AZ United States
I didn't realize this was a plastic piece. It is undersized obviously not designed for the PA 1-6 scope. It broke during installation.
======================

I've bookmarked a potential alternative I read about. No idea if it will fit properly so if anyone wants to be first to it please provide feedback. I know it will fit around the scope but wonder about the clearance underneath it since I'll be running a magpul backup under it.

Check this out...amazon or ebay search on "Breakaway Nylon Coaster" Read the reviews.

same size as Burris E1 and Swarovski Z-5 - which is MGM Switchview 167-171SV: http://www.mgmswitchview.com/switchv...itchview-lever

and close to Leupold MK6 & MK8 (7.09) MGM # 167-171SV1: http://www.mgmswitchview.com/switchv...itchview-lever

or their Eagle Eye universal throw lever: http://www.mgmswitchview.com/index.p...products_id=27 (three pack here): http://www.mgmswitchview.com/switchv...-universal-fit

I been researching ADM mounts for this and found no real difference in reviews from the Scout to the Recon versions. Found a thread where ADM stated the dual latch caused some uppers to stiffen up a bit, not sure what that means. ............
The email I got back from ADM today basically said all the Recon does is add a longer clamping surface but that either one would do well. They did say that they have gotten some people that report the Recon "stiffens" the upper.
I think I'm going with the Scout and save a little weight/rail space. .................

To each his own i take it. Otherwise, its 2 latches for an extra $20. And as everyone believes more is better and If youd prefer not to question your setup if SHTF. I made the decision to go with the 1 latch slightly lighter version as ADM backs them up equally.

Waiting eagerly for this scope. I will be putting it with the ADM Scout mount. not the extended version as i dont plan to shoot nose to charging handle.

I use Recon (two latches) for longer, heavier scopes... For 1-4 and 1-5 I use Scout...

I would use a Scout for this scope too...

Question about the ACSS reticle. Since the holds appear to be set for a 100 yard zero, what you do you use below 100 set at 1x? I know you can use a center hold on a torso sized target without much issue, but what about on smaller targets?

How small of a target? There isnt much drop/rise under 100 yards so holding on the center dot should be almost dead on
