Vasquez, thanks for the tip buddy. I still have to fine tune it so it sits straighter.

Glad to help, looks good. The reason you have the cant is due to the slight slant in the rear plate, on the Draco it's vertical.

I'm going to shim it and see how it looks. Hopefully the gap won't be that noticeable.

on mine the single bolt not the 4 on a plate
if I go too tight, which is just barely tight so its not loose it sticks my mag release
so when I take out a mag I cant get another in unless that single bolt is loose

any issues with your type since it looks so similar

Nope, all the screws are locked tight and no issue with removing mags using Allen wrench or bullet tip.

You can turn the Solar Tactical types into the Strike types...need a dremel and steady hand, and small file to clean it up.

yes thats true and something I could do
but if you compare photos that other brand doesnt have the slot underneath like the solar one does

which makes me think if I slot out mine, it may be real weak

plus I still have my problem with the one bolt if I keep it snug/tight, it binds my mag lever

You're right if you do try to mod it, it won't be as strong as the Strike design, but IMO from the ones i've done, it works ok. The Strike is superior though.

The Draco has a set of Iron Wood laminate furniture, finished by Combloc Customs. The M92 was my first attempt at a Stain/Dye/Shellac finish. I have another factory handguard for the M92, so I'm gonna give it another shot.

What's the procedure to get the dark spots? I'd like try it on my handguards.

It's mostly just the grain of the wood & the way it came out in the picture. I might try to feather in extra dye/stain in some spots next time, but this one is pretty consistent.

I see that you have two castle nuts. I went ahead and cut the excess threads off my Hex 2 tube. It also made the length of pull almost an inch shorter which was perfect because my folding adapter added almost 2 inches.

Two castle nuts aren't to bad, if anything it keep the tube more secure as it helps the main nut from getting loose.
Length of the brace itself is right on, it does not get to close to the elbow when the arm is extended (firing). Actually, the top one originally had Atlantic Firearms folder and it came with a tube extension and it was too long so I ditched the whole setup.
