6 hour wait at Crossroads Ontario 1/5/13
I drove locally, I go to most events when I can. But I can't believe what's going on here in SoCal.
6 freaking hour wait to get in. All I want is some 9mm reloads, maybe some Sks parts. But damnit Im fed up. 99 percent of the people waiting in line to get in aren't enthusiasts, they are here because they THINK "guns will be banned". I decided to head over to bass pro shop and walk around, maybe buy a new fishin pole ...no parking. Idiotic mob mentality. I just want a new gas rod |

Printed my tickets at home,1.5hrs in line to get in. In line for .5hr to buy shotgun ammo. What a madhouse. Guy ahead of me spent $3997.60 on ammo. Better to shop on line than that mess.

.223 was out immediately. The LAX ammo line was ridiculous and not worth it IMO. I got all my ammo at the ammo booth(Miwall Corp) by the A entrance. I got 9mm 125gr 500rd reloads for $99 ($ .20 rd) and .22 CCI Blazer 40gr 5250rds for $240 ($ .04 rd)
Magpul 30rd mags were $60 and I bought a metal (.223) 20rd for $20 I think. No one had LPK's where I looked and I got in the door at 10:30. It was busy but not as crazy as I thought it would be. People were spending a lot of money on ammo. The guy next to me spent over $3000 on ammo. People were walking out with cases of it. We parked behind the double tree hotel to save money and the walk was very close. A lot of news channels there and the line to get in was wrapped around the building to get in. Thanks for the heads up. I was going to drive up there this morning from the Beach, but decided to wait and see some reviews about it. I have some buddys there working for Unique AR's, but have not heard back from them yet.
Do you all think it will be this crazy in Costa Mesa, CA in a few weeks? I need ammo and some AR sights.. |

I was thinking the same thing.
My buddys got back to me as I was writting this reply, and they said that ammo at the gun show in Boise, Idaho a few monthes ago was about a third of the cost as it is out west!! Looks like Amazon it is for some shopping. |

Walking around bass pro...
Bass pro is sold out of ammo except leadless or specialty expensive stuff, almost all handguns, all rifles are gone, plenty of shotguns but nothing worth buying in semi auto. I'm not worried or anything, just kinda pissed off. |

I went this morning arrived about 9:00 could not find any place to park. Law enforcement is useless all they do is sit in the lots that are full. No traffic control or direction, on where to park. What a joke. Lines are around the building. The best joke was on me, I preprinted my ticket and could not even use it. I wonder if it will be better tomorrow. Will there be anything to buy?

I've never shot their ammo, but a coworker never has anything but good things to say about them. |

I thought about going to the Crossroads of the West gunshow in Tucson today. Thank God I decided against it, managed to avoid that madhouse.

Now if all of these people buying guns would write their representatives, we might be in a better spot!

My buddy and I got there around 8 and there were easily 500 in line. We rode our motorcycles because we knew parking would be out of control and bought tickets online. We took one look at the soviet bread lines and said screw it. Sold our tickets to guys in line and went to breakfast. I really went to see how much of a disaster it would be. It was. Crazy.

I guess I had a different experience getting in. Pulled off the freeway, sheep were going left and I went right. Right into a hotel parking lot. No problem! Took my online ticket and got in line at 9am. I never saw a 6 hour line!! Took about 45 minutes for us to get in. When I left around noon there was no line at all. 223 reloads were going for $.40-.50 a round. Didn't see any powder or brass. Got a couple charging handles for $22 a pop. Bcgs going for $300 average (Young Mfg) although I did see a couple dpms for $250. Pmags-$50. Most other mags around the same. Miwali and LAX had huge lines. I found a smaller reloader out of Temecula that only had 7-8 people in line. $249 for 500 rds 55gr fmj. He had 6 boxes of Yugo 7.62x39 for $10 a box which I bought.
Uppers were flying off the shelves. In fact, no one would sell me a charging handle because they needed them for their complete uppers! Mostly no name uppers I saw selling. JD Machine also had a large line. I grabbed a beer and watched the chaos unfolding. Glad I'm pretty set on ar stuff

Wow - Insane. Just what will the soup lines look like if this is for guns and ammo.
This is not prepping, this is panic and someone came to the party late. -g

I arrived about 1pm. Short lines at ticket counter. Waited 1 minute. Handed them a coupon and $13. Used to be $11 last time. So I went in and it was more crowded than usual. Went to the ammo line (not LAX) and checked the end. Saw no hardly any 223 ammo. They had maybe 10 cases of pmc 233 going for 699.99/1k. CRAZY price. Can't remember if it was LAX or the other ammo spot (near the corner where they take the hsc test)Walked by a couple times near the corner and didn't see 762x39 ammo. Then some guy carted in maybe 6 boxes (1k) and stacked it on. Didn't see a price. But there was a long line at first. By 2pm. lines seemed to go down. Saw 1 case of ak ammo left. Can't remember the LAX ammo stash, but it looked small too.
I saw JD booth lot there. There was a line wrapped around their booth. I'm thinking they were selling those 130 lowers. Saw people filling dros forms. But I didn't ask and I don't need another lower. Saw abc7 and kcal9 news vans there and 34 mexican camera guy or some spanish channel. |

Channel 4,abc7,Kcal was there set up with thier cameras interviewing people. 1Hr wait to buy ticket 4hr wait to get in and 1 hr wait to buy ammo from LAX. Ammo was all out of stock after the 2 hr of opening. PMC was $700 + Tax the guy at LAX said they sold 136K rounds in the 1st hour. LPK's were $150-200 and they were sold out fast. They only had cheap no-name stripped uppers with Chinese parts for $550-900. Then they wanted $300-350 for no-name BCG's along with $50 Charging handles. Noone I saw had stripped lowers for sale and the cheapest AR-15 was $1,700-3500. Everything is going to be backordered for 1yr + everyone says. Crazy Times!
