Hello Calguns!

I have been looking forward to signing up for a while and now I am finally aboard.

A lilltle about myself. Just a little

I have been around firearms for as long as I could hold one thanks to being raised in a good, responsible family. I really have an appreciation for any type of firearm although, I have my favorites. I shoot as often as I can with my family and I enjoy every aspect of it. Even cleaning.

I look forward to enjoying the vast range of knowledge on this board and hopefully I can contribute a bit myself.

Great to finally be a member of this great forum and site. Novice handgun owner and shooter, I am following CA legislation and DOJ stuff thru this website and really appreciate all the current info. Own a .38 SW Bodyguard, and Sig P238HD. Long guns are both .22's and old like me. My 1st gun was a Remington Fieldmaster made 12/69; got it when I was 11. Other .22 was my father's passed down to me, it's a Remington 513T w/Redfield sights, non military and mfg 11/45, amazingly accurate and great shape.

Hi everyone, I would like to introduce myself.

Name is Marcelo Fantozzi, I am 40yrs young, originally from Brazil but live in the San Fernando Valley area in SoCal....I have been lurking around the forum for a while and am fairly new to the world of guns...I am married and have two young boys.

At the moment I only own a couple of shotguns and am in the market for a couple of handguns, one for me and one for the wife...next in line will be a hunting riffle. I do a lot of spearfishing but no land hunt yet. Avid Surfer and Capoeira instructor...

Well, I am not sure what else to write so I'll end here I'm looking forward to getting to know the forum and ints contributors a little better and hopefully be able to contribute myself.

You should PM of the moderators, they do not always contact you.

They are listed at the bottom of the sub-forums.

You were probably given a timeout for the extra bumping beyond the Rules.
Once every 24 hours.

You might get a few days of timeout.
I suggest you send another PM acknowledging your error.

Hello to All,

I am a SoCal native and I like most everything about California except...well you know what...the roster. I consider myself to be a safe, law abiding fire arms owner.

I own some shotguns and an old Colt Woodsman pistol. Many decades ago my father and I shot competitive trap and I am a former member of the ATA. Have any of you every had an opportunity to experience the Grand American? The sight of a mile long trap range is something to behold. I can still see it in my minds eye as I write this introduction.

I am just now in a position in life where I have time and want to relive some of those very fond memories of competing along side my father. I have a new found interest in handguns as I cannot find any trap shooting clubs in my area.

Thank you for this forum and opportunity to express my opinions and experiences.

Hey Everyone.

Been a long time lurker but never registered. Been shooting for a while but never got one myself. My dad owns all the guns and usually go together and create some father and son memories which brought my love and RESPECT for the power you have in your hands. I decided to join and get more tips, you can never learn enough.

I've wanting a gun of my own for a while but a fire was lit under my ***, long story short: my house was broken into, came home put the car in the garage went in, then saw that my office room was broken into. Called 911 and then saw two guys walking up the driveway. If i had a wife and kids, i would want her to have a fighting chance. Some may disagree with me and thats fine but this

Anyhow i'm excited to join and btw I'M LOOKING TO BUY my first Suggestions and opinions are welcome.

I've narrowed it down to three but if you have suggestions for a 9mm then its all welcome.

I suggest you take a trip to the range and try as many as you can before you decide.
Go to a range that charges one price to rent all their guns, not one price for each gun rented.

You MIGHT even like a Glock.

If you ever feel bad about not buying the other gun, the rule here is that you go back and buy it so you have both!

I was told recently by a few fellas over at the Ak magazine collectors forums that I should join up, and check out the "west coast forums" There has always been tons of information from like minded individuals here and Im glad to jump into a new forum, especially one that I have visited so many times throughout the years. I like Kalashnikovs, Ruger 22/45's Glocks, Sigs, Mosins, Knives, BBQ, gardening, outdoors, Fine Arts, modern furniture collecting, target shooting, Fishing, cooking, skated for 30 years, I like all kinds of jams, everything in between Black Flack,Hank Sr. to Opeth.
I believe in doing right, Patriotism, and the Red White and Blue.

Welcome, Vinyl! Scary story, and a good impetus to buy a gun for defense, for sure. You're not alone when it comes to having a hard time making a decision on a firearm or accessory. Most of us go back and forth quite a bit before making a decision.

Everything that Garv said, except for that part about the Glock; don't listen to that nonsense. You've got better taste already. Go rent those guns and find what you're comfortable with and can shoot well. (Even if it is a Glock)

I've been on the FB page for a few months now.
Figured I'd sign up here for more content/info.
Just made my first firearm purchase last Monday from Bud's gun shop.
Order is still processing saddly.
Ammo I bought should show up Monday.

All the waiting for something I already paid in full for is horrible! Haha
