You're welcome.
Before the San Jose screening was announced, I thought I was going to be driving an hour each way. That's why I remembered Antioch.

We will be flying in late on the 22nd. Hubby just said we will have to make the trek to Antioch from Santa Cruz on the 23rd. It's the only day we will be in CA, but we will be there.

Hey I didn't check if anyone has mentioned this, the AMC website has "no poster available" when you search for it. Just a thought, it would look better if the front cover was up as a poster no?
Just noticed as I was trying to show a friend. Doesn't grab attention, which is what we want right? |

Those of us behind the redwood curtain have no access to this movie currently. Humboldt county is overall very rural pro gun and it would be a nice turnout I'm sure. It makes sense to show it at the main population centers though.
Aracta, CA (next town over to the Humboldt county seat, Eureka,CA) has a theater that shows independent films, the Minor Theater. It would be nice to see something like this. I imagine it is also important to show it in the urban population centers too like you guys are because its exposed to higher concentration of uninform/brainwashed/anti gun people. I hope this film is well received and I look forward to seeing it at some point in the future even if I cant get to see it in a theater. |

Hey guys just a thought, I don't know how you feel about Alex Jones but infowars.com has a ton of viewers and it could possibly help this take off. Maybe contact them and ask them to promote it. Especially since its going to play in his hometown of Austin.

FYI - I just got the email notification about this and the actual link to the forum thread within the email doesn't work properly.

You can create a tugg event to try to bring it to your city:

You should put a torrent for it on The Pirate Bay. Maybe even get them to Promo it on the TPB homepage!
The audience you can get from torrents is far more than any movie screenings in my opinion.

Has anyone made any fliers yet? it would be good to have some to post on social media, print out, email to friends. The more people know about it the better. If i can get the permission to cut/copy/paste the movie poster i can probable do some photoshop/gimp flier. Though i have never done this before but i can be handy with photo editing.
And as far as tugg goes, more seats need to be filled for all the locations except for burbank. With 7.8million CA gun owners im pretty sure those seats can easily be filled as soon as we get the word out. |

DPF, Assault Team, CGF, etc.
Having watched the preview, this looks interesting, and I'm hopeful this gets some good traction, and raises awareness. But more specifically, I'm hopeful it gets traction and raises awareness, outside of the pro-2A community. From the preview, this looks to be your intent, as well; preaching to the choir would be little more than mental masturbation. I've no doubt an absolute ton of work went into producing this movie, and thought given to promotion, etc., and everyone is running around 18 hours a day to get ready. That said, I do see a lot of CalGunners here, who would like to help, but I've not seen a single post in this thread, telling them what to do, other than "tell your friends." People asking about whether they can donate time, resources, etc.; printing a flyer to list in their store, helping to promote advertising, etc. Similarly, I've seen mentions that people weren't aware of this. Hell, I wasn't aware of it, until I got the PM. Which was great, but I'd love to see a similar message that's on a webpage that I could send people. Even better, I'd love to see a _politically neutral_ URL that I could send out en masse to people I know. Lastly, I'd like to know what I, and others, can do to help ensure this carries momentum forward, and theaters are asking to do additional showings. E.g. is there any key markets you're focusing on? I would assume a sell-out in SF would be much more impressive than SJ or Sac. If I was closer to SF, I'd buy 4 tickets right now, and freely offer them to people who aren't involved in 2A rights, or are of the "is gun rights really worth it?" - the people I see benefiting most from a movie like this. To the CalGun community, While I know we all tend to get frustrated with the seemingly blind efforts of various politicians, lobbyists, etc., who seem intent on ignoring any alternate viewpoint, let's be mindful that what we say can come across as being similarly biased. This is an opportunity to invite people, especially those who have moderate views, to hear a side of the story that we believe in. Let's not alienate them, make them feel unwelcome, or ridicule their beliefs - be it 2A related or not. We may disagree on many points, and that's fine, but if they're open to listening to another viewpoint, let's make them feel safe and welcomed in doing so. I say this, because already in some of the threads relating to this movie, I see comments that I feel would make some uncomfortable. Frankly, those people are the same that would most benefit by realizing that believing in 2A and responsible gun ownership, does not mean having to believe in an entire agenda, a particular party, etc. As I said, I hope that this movie gets good traction, and is seen by people with any and all opinions on the 2A. Some will disagree with the movie, and will talk about it; that's fine, that's great, some of the people they talk about, will be interested, watch it for themselves, and maybe those people will feel differently. Everyone already has an opinion. This is an opportunity to help give them additional food for thought, in evaluating and adjusting those opinions going forward. Just my six cents, adjusted for inflation. :) |

You can go to the website to get current info or you can go to Tugg and sponsor your own showing in your own town. The ownus is on US to make this happen. If any of you need more info go to the Dead Patriot Films Facebook page and make a post. Your questions will be answered. Many thanks!

At 7:30 PM on Friday, the San Jose showing was confirmed. 80 reservations, 22 seats remaining as of midnight. I've read in blogs that if a venue sells out, the organizer can work with TUGG to arrange for a larger theater. Keep spreading the word and we'll see what happens next!

Why does SD have 5 days left and rancho only have 4 days to sell minimum tickets? Just an observation that I thought odd.

I don't want to sound like a dick... but has anyone on here screened this yet?
No offense to everyone involved in creating this film, but without some sort of screening prior and some opinions of some trusted folks who have screened it, do we really know the message in this film is something we want promoted? I'm not saying it isn't. It looks good from the trailer, but I'm not convinced. I like to see evidence before I put my confidence in anything. I'm just saying. If anyone has screened it, I'd love to hear or read a review. Maybe one has been posted and I missed it, but any links in a sticky or something would be helpful. Personally something unbiased (antigun or pro-gun) would be best, and then I'd love to read a pro and anti review as well to get a good overall feel for the content. I'll be honest, I do want to see the film either way, but I do not condone promoting it until viewing it. |

Hey everyone I started a showing in Van Nuys at the Regency Van Nuys Plant 16. The soonest date I could get was July 18th @ 730. I hope everyone in the San Fernando Valley can make it. Also they wanted to know if we had any special events planned, any ideas? Maybe Calguns can set up a booth or something? let me know
