Do "any" Ruger 10/22 mags fit the take down or are they specific by Ruger model?

All 10/22 mags should work, but I try to stick with OEM Ruger.

$329 is a great price. I may grab a 2nd one at that price.

Can't hurt to ask... but they don't seem to last more than a day once they get them in stock.

I'm actually surprised at the Big5 prices. They have the Marlin 795 on sale for $189. That's the sale price! They were like $159 non-sale price last summer. Iw as going to pick up another one, but $189 puts it too close to 10/22 price for me to get one.

Turners had them in stock last week for $329. I jailed three of them and pick them up on the 10th. Wife is getting one for Valentine's Day.

+1 , I bought a few butler creek ones as well but them seem to wiggle quite a bit when fully inserted

He had to put back to the complete rifle configuration and bring home to a guns-smith.

He said there is some heat treatment quality issue causing some 10/22 with this problem.

Hunter Supply in Salinas had 12 Ruger 10/22s as of today.
Wood stock, polymer with blued barrel and one stainless barrel and two tricked out with aluminum barrels.

Heard Ruger has a 7 month back order on them now.

US Firearms in Sunnyvale just had 4. Sold 3 and are keeping 1 as a display. $389. They were taking deposits. Wait time could be several months or longer.

Wow really...did you consider maybe only buying 3 and leaving a few for other shooters? nothing personal towards you it's just frustrating because it happens all the time. One lucky person right place right time cleans a place out (magazine and or ammo) and the rest get nothing or stuck paying 3 times the price.

Ok my panties are less bunched now and the soap box is clear. if anyone needs me ill be over in the corner shutting up

Yep, I finally got to the range with mine on Friday, had the same issue then I thought to myself, 'self, pull back the bolt and lock it' . Oh yeah that worked. I thanked myself and bought him a beer when we got home.

Guns and Fishing in Vacaville had supposedly 40 on friday. Not sure what's left, the guy said they were flying out. I got one, and a friend got one.

Not sure how much truth there was in the 40 number...

Just came from guns and fishing and picked one up. They were going for $359. They said they got 40 on Sunday and most of them were sold already. Now the long wait of 10 days.

How are you guys enjoying your TD's? I was able to find some quality ammo today (cci mini mags) and got motivated enough to order up a compact scope. I ended up ordering the Leapers 3-9x32 CQB Compact. I spoke to a gentleman that had one at the range a couple weeks ago and he didn't have anything bad to say about it so I figured why not. Being that it is a "compact", it should fit nicely in the supplied Ruger bag as well.

Anyone know if there are any store with it still in stock? Everywhere I go all I get is that it's on back order and Ruger is no longer taking orders because they have so much back fill to complete.

Don't forget about the Big 5 on Stevens Creek. When Sunnyvale/Blossom Hill were telling me it was impossible to get one right now back in January. I was able to get one from the Stevens Creek location. I went on a Wednesday out of coincidence and they had their shipping list for Friday. They had 1 coming in and no wait list I was able to purchase it right then and there.

Good luck!

Forgot about this post. I initially ordered the Leapers from Optics Planet but cancelled the order because I later learned it was on back order. I ended up ordering a Nikon P-223 from Cabelas. They currently have a promotion where they include a Nikon Mount ($50 msrp). Scope/mount set me back $150.

Now I need to get it sighted in. =]

Last night my buddy and I went to Target Masters and got the little Ruger sighted in. Unfortunately their range is only about 17 yards, but we were able to get it dialed in quickly.

Now I need to get it out to a rifle range for further adjustment.
