If you can find an unmarried sear, theoretically you can drop it into any of the HK-91 through 94 line. I say theoretically because ATF likes people to marry sears to guns when it comes to HK's.

Yup, they were unique to the gun so they had to use it for both semi and full auto. Basically all the parts were, just like every gun that's not an AR-15.

The army trains on the land also. It has full barracks. They play war games so they dress as the enemy of the month and fight each other. If oyu can afford uncle sam rates and have a military contract I'm sure he could schedule you in.

That area is to the southwest, it looks like. I doubt I could get there unless I went through the base, which I can't, so it doesn't matter anyway.

AR and HK packs are few in supply and very high in demand. If I was to choose it wold be an AR RDIAS. So many possibilities and cheaper than HK. If I was to buy my first MG it would either be an AR RDIAS or a cheap AR15 lower. The cheapest I could find. Me, I would just find a cheap lower. They last forever and not much is lost over a RDIAS.

You know how much they cost, right? AR pattern from low 20's to low 30's, depending on what it is and desirability. That's in thousands. HK's typically about 10k-ish more.

The definitive magazine for this sort of thing is Small Arms Review. I think you can subscribe to online and print versions.

I still come across lowers for 15-18k.

If you think about it that is about the cost of 5-10 nice guns. Wilson, Nighthawk, custom bolt guns, higher end semi auto rifles.

I sold off all my semi auto rifles after I bought my M16A2. They were all boring. I'd rather have 1 machine gun than a bunch of semi's.

thank you both!

What, are they like Sendra's or Essential Arms? EA's are investment cast and I'd worry about the holes egging out. Although quite a few were papered I haven't seen any for sale for quite awhile.

Don't show them I want them dumb and uniformed or they will want to move too. I don't want to reduce the buyer pool for my house or see a lot of houses on the market.

Not EA. But even those are fine. Egging is so rare and usually happens due to neglect. It can be easily re-enforced with steel inserts. I have over 50,000 on a dpms lower and it has zero issues. I've seen Colt lowers egg.

I sent a calgunner a link to a brand new colt m16a1 a year ago. He got that dirt cheap. Deals can be found.

I guess it can happen that people are ignorant of the market. A friend of mine, no rookie in class 3 ownership, sold a sear 4 or 5 years after he bought it. For the same price, and proud of it. Yes, he sold it for 25% of the market value. Kinda wish he told me he was selling it.

money isn't everything to everybody.. I've had a lot more enjoyment from helping people and making them happy than.making a buck off of them.. some might say I'd make a terrible business man but I think I've done pretty well that way

My wife received a sticker with her potato flakes order. Should I take this as an omen?

If you want to help a fellow Calgunner, stop buying idahoan products and buy Basic American Foods (Hungry Jack, Idaho Spuds, Golden Griddle, Modern Table, etc....)
Thanks!

I work for idahoans competitor, and am a calgunner....
Maybe you are a little sensitive today.
Forget it buy idahoan. They treat their people like sh*t.

and you treat every single person on this forum with a different opinion than yours like sh*t

regardless of your voting patterns, you're the epitome of what Americans dislike about californians

and furthermore encouraging support of a ca based company over Idaho based

Who owns Basic American Foods?
The company is led by Jaquelin's sons, William J. Hume and George H. Hume. It is headquartered in Walnut Creek, California.

Idahoan Foods is a company based in Idaho Falls, Idaho, founded in Lewisville, Idaho in 1960. It specializes in the production of dehydrated potato products, which it sells under the brand Idahoan. It employs over 500 people at the height of its production cycle.

Basic RECENTLY bought the plant I work in. It employs Significantly more people than Idahoan, in Idaho, with better pay, better benefits, and retirement. But you would know that if you ACTUALLY knew what you were talking about.
(One of the reasons I gave up trying to have a conversation with a*"holes like you. The other guy misunderstood my post, and you, like always have to white knight with your ignorant bulS**t....

while neither of these companies seem to have stellar employee reviews, they do both seem to be quite similarly rated

but I'm sure your vast 3 years of expertise on everything idaho is much more accurate than anything these idahoan employee have to say..

idahoan company employee ratings

american basic foods company employee ratings

thank goodness you graced idaho with your presence, lord knows what a jam they'd be in without you

they must really find you charming while you hold such high regard for them

nice! I miss sitting at the picnic table on the front porch, shooting in my pjs

I was just talking to my buddy back home about this stuff.. he mentioned two things - firearms trust and large movement to remove suppressors from nfa..

he doesn't have anything yet but he's been working his butt off for a few years now finally at a great paying job so he'll probably be shopping about the same time as me

we're just sitting back enjoying it vicariously through y'all
