Default What caliber

In Orange County--are there any caliber restrictions? .22, .32acp., etc.?
I searched the OC CCW web sight, this forum, and I emailed the OC Sheriff's CCW office (no reply).

It would be better if you asked on the Orange County thread of the Calguns Concealed Carry County Information Forum, but I don't know of any caliber restrictions. One guy had trouble with adding an AR-15 pistol. Anything up to .45 and .357 is no problem. There may be one if you get into the hunting pistol calibers like .44 magnum or .50 magnum, but I haven't heard of any.

I didn't recall seeing anything when I filled out my forms. My instructor said people have qualified with .22s.

Anything less than a .50 Magnum and you are under powered.

OCSD said no for my 4” barreled SW 500.

Partly asked them in jest, partly it would be fun to have on my permit.

Would be painful to qualify with it.

But my FN Five Seven is on my permit.

Just curious, what caliber are you considering that is not a .380, 38, 10MM, 44 or 45 Automatic?

Are you thinking the you will be carrying a 22lr or 32acp for your concealed carry pistol?
