Default AR optics help for 3 gun competition.

Okay so right now on my AR I have an eotech xps 2-0. I also had a 3x magnifier for it but sold it to fund another project and overall I found the set up to be pretty heavy.
Now I am wanting to retool my rifle to get it ready to shoot in 3 gun.
I was thinking of selling my eotech and purchasing a Burris tac 30.
Not really sure if this is the right way to go so I'm posting it here.
Also right now the rifle has a fixed front sight post, will I have to get a low profile gas block if I run the Burris?
Thank you everyone in advance for the advice!

1st, what's your budget? You can get a useable 3-gun scope from $150 to $2,000.

IMO, the TAC30 is an ok scope, but for $99 more the MTAC is nicer. Some Turners here in the southland have the MTAC in stock to look at.

I use a 1-4 Nikon African which can be had for $229. It's ok for my skill level.

No absolute need to remove the standard FSB. Again it depends on where you want to go with your rifle. If you scope up your rifle and the fuzzy FSB really bothers you, you change it out.

In the end there are a lot of nice scopes in the price range I gave, it's just a matter of how much you want spend.
