A good mix if handgun, shotgun, and carbine for home defense use. Learn your legal rights and obligations when it comes to protecting your home and your loved ones.

Our Home Defense Course focuses a little more an Handgun Skills folding in the Shotgun and Carbine depending on who has what. We try to set this table to meet your appetite.

I would be interested but would like to see a course outline or typical days schedule. While I can always learn more, I would not want to repeat some of the other training I have had.

I would be bringing all three types of guns and ammo for each. I have had tactical pistol training, but nothing on rifle or shotgun,

Mike

The Home Defense Course would not be the class you'd want to attend if you're looking for additional training with your rifle and/or shotgun. The home defense will focus mostly on the handgun and then move into the rifle and/or shotgun.

If you're looking for specific training in those two platforms you'd be better suited with one of our carbine classes or defensive shotgun.

However, to truly become an expert at anything is mastering the basics. Since firearms handling is a perishable skill like any other athletic event, sometimes repetition is a good thing.

This sounds like a class I would have enjoyed since I recently got my ccw. However, I already booked a spot for carbine skill builder and Saturdays are tuff for me to get off work so I couldnt just take this course on an impulse. I'm really looking forward to carbine 2.5 though. See you soon.

Only 3 slots left, this class is limited to 10 motivated individuals. If you've been kicking the tires now's the time to act...

It appears the info on your website and what's posted in this thread don't match up as far as required ammo. Which list should I go by? Looking forward to Saturday!

I took this course this past weekend and I had an extremely positive experience. I've attended a couple of Gordon's classes already and from my experience so far, I'm planning to attend more in the future.

A couple of points that I think makes his courses worthwhile:

- very open minded approach to teaching: constantly looking for feedback and looking for ways to improve an already outstanding course outline
- stepwise approach in establishing good fundamental techniques and mindset and building on that foundation
- variety in his courses: no two courses are exactly the same and he will adjust to the level of the students
- relatively affordable cost compared to some of the more expensive courses despite no drop off in quality

Again, I would encourage anyone thinking about taking one his courses to give it a try once.
