Iron Sights will be closed from April 9th until the 15th.
Just a heads up. Saw the sign yesterday.
We're doing a major renovation at the range! We will be shutting down Sunday April 8th at 5pm and reopening the following Sunday, on April 15th at the regular time of 10am.

They just fixed the wobbly targets too! Some guy brought in a rope and strung it across the bottom to drag and stabilize it. Total bush fix they should have figured out years ago there. Plus it sweeps the floor of brass.

I eagerly await the unveiling ...
Does this mean they'll replace that one bench with the big dent and melted carpet?

...and fix the target carriage for lane 9. More than a couple of times I had to hand feed the target back and forth. Reset seldom worked.

Asked about the renovations ... *BUS DRIVER, MOVE THAT BUS!*
They ripped out the carpet in the store area, replaced the carpet on the shooting benches (hopefully not the carpet from the store  ) and spruced up the office.Oh well, they're still the closest range and the price is right!

Yeah I shot there today and didn't really notice anything different, other than there were only 3 of us on the pistol range; that was nice instead of the usual herd. I thought they had the ropes on the target holders already.

Weekdays after 1 pm are great there. You pretty much have the rifle side to yourself.
Hopefully Gunther's new range will open by year's end. That will be a nice place and it's very close by.
