Default 1853 Enfeild ?

Anyone know where a guy might source a stock for a P53 Enfield?

Actually prefer a cut down specimen, rather than a full, more valuable stock.

Need it for a project. I am going to post a pic of what I have right now. Maybe someone will have a better idea than I as to what I have.

It is a Snyder Conversion. I know that much right now. Thanks

You may be able to use a two band enfield stock for a "cut down" one. Otherwise it's up to finding someone who has actually taken a saw to theirs for whatever reason.

Companies that make repros sell stocks as parts, and original stocks can be found from parts companies online, but please don't saw one of those down.

Thanks, no I would not hack up a good original for this project. What I believe I have is a cut down Snyder made for Prison or Police use. I did see the IMA ones. A little expensive, but may be the only option.

There should be or used to be alot of cut down Bubba Enfields out there. I guess most have been parted out by now though.

Used to see alot of Enfield parts on Ebay. But guess those are drying up also.

Yes I have it all inletted and done.

But mine has some issues. A small repair in the comb area where a piece was glued in, bent a little at the wrist, and a small crack to the right of the tang.

I never even noticed this stuff till after fitting was started as the stock came with a heavy coat of some black stuff. So returning it became problematic from the start. But I would expect a discount for what I consider a defective stock.

I did contact IMA over two weeks ago by phone, and they wanted pics. Sent them, but have not heard back yet. Maybe they are busy. The condition of mine was not worth the full price.

Hopefully they will atleast discount it a little for the issues. But not looking promising yet.
