Hows the finger stop? I currently use a troy combat grip and i only use it as a reference point to grip my handguard. Looking to minimize weight and size.

Plus i like KAC stuff

Love the look of a well used rifle. Not such a big fan of the red dot/magnifier combo. Had a similar setup and my AR felt too heavy. I'd op for swapping out the optic for a magnified scope with La Rue QD throw levers. Just me.

You bought the MD/KAC unit just for the upper and accessories?

Yup...

Kind of a Magpul/KAC junkie. The upper is limited as well it's not a regular SR15 upper. Trust me if there was a way to get the lower here legally I would, otherwise it isn't worth it.

WOW. Lucky. I love the rail on the Magpul SR15. Does the lower count as a Magpul Lower or a KAC lower?

After seeing it at SHOT last year my wife knew how bad I wanted it and gave me her blessing. Of course not without her getting alot ofthings she wanted to make up for it. Now She is just worried what we will see at SHOT here in a couple of weeks. Time to make a new Christmas list

that's a rare magpul lower that F8 mated to the KAC/MD upper - not the original KAC lower that came with the KAC/MD SR-15. this magpul lower is worth way more than the current KAC SR-15 lowers.

man, this set up is easily north of 4-5 g's. nice (and slightly crazy) job F8!

F8ality - What's the weight in the upper? I'd love to see KAC make those rails commercially available, they look similar in weight/modularity as the Troy/VTAC tubes but look far better.

i'm pretty sure the next gen KAC rail will be a mixture of the MD URX and the URX III...
