Default Glock 1911 - Real or Fake?

Sorry but when search Glock and or 1911 a lot of other threads come up. The images of the "Glock 1911" on the web and on our forums and others - is this a real offering from them soon? I read one post where it said late 2011? But nothing on the Glock web site?

Is there a Glock 1911 out there or coming soon?

Better not be real, what would we all argue about on here?!

Oh wait... AR vs AK, 9mm vs .45, Aimpoint vs Eotech

Ok, I think we'll be fine.

You talking about this picture? It's fake, a photoshop.

Here's the original for that picture:

Glock does things their own way, they don't like to follow others so I'd have a hard time believing that they'd imitate a design rather than building based off their own design. ESPECIALLY, when that design is working so well for them.

Not just Glock 1911 but Glock POLYMER 1911.

FYI. Glock did not design the first polymer pistol; did not design the first polygonal rifling; did not design the first striker fired platform; and did not design the first pistol with light rail.

So why not a 1911.

Glock didn't make the first, but he sure made the best.

Glock 1911
Heck yes!
I have heard that that RRA poly 1911 will retail at over $800. If true, that's too steep for a polymer frame gun IMHO

If Glock ever really made this gun, all firearms forums would either spontaneously explode or suddenly go silent.

Why a polymern 1911? One of the reasons why I love 1911's is cause they are all steel. What a shame.

Intriguing. A 1911 with an unsupported chamber and a crummy trigger pull is a bit of a market gamble, but one never knows what can sell in this economy.

Best shop ever. If only he removed the hammer and replaced the thumb safety with a trigger safety. It would be like when they put the JDM engine in the 60s mustang in Tokyo Drift.

And we'd be seeing the bottom absolutely drop out of the used Glock .45 market. They'd be going for $200 a pop when the fanboiz reallized just how crappy that trigger really is.

The best part of that photoshop is that they removed those hideous front serrations...
