Need Advice from a Marine OSO
Posting this for my son who is not a calgunner:
He is scheduled to meet with a USMC OSO tomorrow to submit his application, and for an initial interview for PLC. Need advice on what to wear for this interview. He was told to wear something presentable, but no specifics. Any input would be greatly appreciated. |

If he is looking to become a Marine Officer I would advise he not show up looking like a d-bag teenager.
Somewhat moderately casual would be fine, no need for a suit and tie. My suggestion would be slacks/kahki's (not jeans) and a collard shirt with shoes (not flip flops, not tennis shoes). Also, if he has any kind of jewelry protruding from any orfice on his body he may want to take that out as well. |

i asked my brother and he said slacks and a button down collared shirt. he was not sure what the "OSO" and "PLC" meant, but when they come to him, he tells the recruiter to have them wear that. ill ask again if you give me the specifics

I went Business Casual since it is an interview. Also tell your kid not to be to nervous. If he really wants to be a Marine Officer the OSO will see this and agree to work with him.
