I've heard good things about The Gun Range in North Highlands.

Check River City Gun Exchange. They have CCI Blazer Aluminum case listed in their current ad for $14.99/box. I have run a lot of that ammo with no problems. Fed brass for $17.99

Scroll down this page to see the ad

^ Just be warned that they'll take a copy of DL & fingerprint. Not the shop's fault, it's a Sacto city law. Not an issue unless you're prohibited, but some (most) people don't like it on principle.

Yep, I don't buy ammo within city limits anymore for that reason alone.

OP, you can also try here:
http://www.sportsmanswarehouse.com/s...ACP/view/false
No fingerprint

You can also head south of sportsmans and try here if buying in bulk:

CCI and American Eagle has a small rebate going, $10 back on $50 or $10 + Tshirt back on $100. Not much but better than nothing.

Wild Sports in Orangevale hands down. You do have to use the online coupon system. Log on to the Wild sports website and check the specials page. I just got blazer aluminum .45 auto for $11.97 using their online coupon system. Beats any online price.

Bring this in with you for this price. That use the rebate discussed above after you buy them.

For ammo locally?
Ammo Depot in Rancho Cordova. Sign up in advance for their flash sales via text.

Wild Sports in Orangevale is indeed a good place to get ammo.

If you are looking for reloads, try Ammo Dump (ammo depot sort of stole the name from ammo dump). Contact John Karlovich at 916 488-1985. He may not have in stock what you want, contact him and he will have whatever you need when you want it. His prices are reasonable, sells mostly at the local gunshows but you can arrange to meet with him for pickup, in the neighborhood of Marconi and Watt Ave. It's outside the city, so no finger printing, etc.

Also, if you are looking for a local gun club where you can meet others, get caught up on the latest anti-gun legislation, try the Sacramento Firearms Education and Safety Council, meets on the last Wednesday evening at 6:30PM at the Cordova Range, inside the classroom. They have a Yahoo Group where most communications take place.

I've bought some 9mm from the Ammo Dump in the past from a gun show and it was the worst crap ever. QC was garbage, example:

I tried it again last year hoping things got better and bought 500 rds of .45 acp, same thing, bad QC, underpowerd with funky bullet seating. Pulled the rounds apart, tossed the powder and reused the brass & bullets.

I personally would not buy from AD again.

If you have a CCW you are good to go without finger prints or id copy
