Thank you, thank you!
I call it my little puppy because nearly everyone I take shooting with it falls in love with it.

I can't really compare it to defcon's cannon but it's all mine and loads of fun to shoot. I just wish the magazines were as fun to load as they are to unload.

I think UTG discontinued them for some stupid reason. I've got one I'll use one of these days. Glad I got it when I did.

Here's my latest turn of the century-esque Tactical 10/22

FWIW Leapers e-mailed me today. The rails will be available in mid february or shortly afterward. All is well, it's just a huge demand and they are catching up. Who knew? As for me, i had no idea the ruger 10/22 had taken on such a life of its own since i was a kid. I just want to set mine up to do the things i already do with my remington 581, but with less fuss.

My stuff finally came, overloaded with accessories display mode:

I went with the Aim Sports quad rail while i wait for the UTG..I will compare the two and post later.

Aim Sports quad rail
Aim Sports 4 reticle red dot
UTG CQB New generation Bug buster 3-9x40 (4.2 inches eye relief!)
Winchester (walmart) bipod tested on .308 winchester for 2 years
Centerpoint red laser.
UTG Led 150 lumen light
Ladder rail covers
Aim covers used to secure pressure switch and cord for flashlight
Trimag
unknown favorite leather sling from the 70's

Here's a pic with my wife's strikeforce that started this whole thing. Hers is entirely fit-related, if that's a term. There is, however red laser on the left side you can't see for quick acquisition in low light conditions. Other than that, the whole thing is built from trial and error to get the best possible fit for her. It fits her so well i cannot even see through the scope without moving the stock and even then the cheek piece is too high for me. It is purely her .22, just like mine is purely mine.

Two entirely different approaches for entirely different reasons. I am really glad i checked back into the ruger 10/22 after life got in the way for 35 years. I do have a couple of tweaks to do to mine, but they both shoot fine and all is well. I will be making some minor additions to the homemade barrel strut and front of the stock vicinity to de-clutter the grip area and get a bipod back on there.

Rabbit smacker mode with utg bipod and tri-rail laser mount on barrel (too involved to remove for hunting modes.) also, (remove bipod for rabbit smacker mode..bipod for pic.):

Remove bipod...coon smacker mode:

For squirrel mode, replace red dot with scope, remove flashlight...again, remove bipod...bipod works great at range and in my back yard training in the prone.

Ati hand guard cut into two pieces and combined with modified ruger barrel band.

after quad rail arrived:

The handguard was from the mod i did to my wife's in the thread above...I chopped up the ATI handgaurd to make it...now I'm back to my quad rail setup with a new utg rail.

Just got a GSG5 1st gen and threw a P.E.P.R. mount and Bushnell 1.5-6x44 XLT on. People give these things crap all day but it performed great and produced some nice groupings! Gotta love the cost of .22lr.

Ruger take down, tactical folder and custom. Broke hammer on the Jard trigger but it's been replaced and need to take it out again. Tactical twins shooting the .22s and others.

Man that is a beautiful heavy barrel...hows that work with a .22lr? Did you hand lathe it for 48 hours straight or what?

I came to this forum looking for THIS gun. I've been piecing together parts for my AR22, and so far I have the Nordic Components chassis, a DPMS collapsible stock, a DPMS pistol grip, and a set of UTG quad rails that I can't mount to my NC chassis haha. I have a Tactical Solutions threaded barrel on the way. I need to know exactly what I need to order to fit the quad rails. If I go to Midway and search MI free float quad rail am I going to find the right parts? Also, can you please expound on the reworked trigger and bolt.

Thanks in advance.
