Default 10/22 refurbish / sight question

I bought this 10/22 about 11 years ago. Stock cracked and barrel shot to hell. I like the sights on the old barrel any advice on removal and install on new barrel?

Also, I havent been able to find go/no go gauges locally, how neccessary are they with a factory to factory barrel swap?

Thanks, photo is after the zombie job

Loosen set screw on sight, drive it out left to right.
Install it right to left.
No real need to check headspace unless a aftermarket bolt is used, make sure the bolt face recess is the same depth as an original.

Can't understand how/why you don't fix it with epoxy and good bore cleaner.
It takes 40-60,000 rds to wear out bore and ruin accuracy.

Sounds leaded up

You don't need chamber/rim gauges, headspace is set by bolt recess for rim already and is usually .005 larger then go minimum.

The stock cracked and was beat to hell. I found this laminated stock and like new barrel for $40. The wood to me alone was well worth the price and took a whole 10 minutes to swap out stock and barrel. I can show you pictures of the bore, the rifling is almost non existent on the old barrel. I still have old barrel and stock, and if I find a receiver I plan on building that back up.
