Default Best selection of used firearms.

Looking for some stores that have a really good selection of used firearms for sale in the Inland Empire area.

Ya, most of those are consignment, and can't be transferred to other stores. You guys sure love crappy Turners.

The I.E. is pretty big. There is the Shootist in Murrieta. I was in there yesterday and they probably had 30 used/consignment mix of revolvers and semi autos. About 10 or so were limited to LEO's.

It's not the inland empire, but Martin B. Redding on the west side has a very good used selection. If you ever find yourself on this side of hell it might be worth checking out.

Bullseye in Riverside usually has a decent inventory of used guns (maybe 20–30 handguns + long guns). I've seen entire collections in there being sold (I assume due to legal issues with the previous owner).

Second this.

They have the biggest selection of used rifles and some hand guns too.

That's spelled Retting. Just in case someone tries to look it up old school (without spell check)... ...and that's the west side of Los Angeles county, on Washington Blvd in Culver City.

Great selection of previously-owned, antique and classic firearms. I've been collecting my armory for 10 years from this dealer; nearly everything I own has come across their counter, save four pieces.

Selection yes, but the insane prices that most people on calguns want, I'd argue its not even worth it, just buy new; I saw one thread the other day, one dude wants $1850 for a simple 14.5" pinned and welded colt, that's KAC/Noveske territory.

but sometimes good deals can be had if you watch like a hawk jump on it, the last used glock 17 gen 3 I bought off the marketplace was $415

The problem with looking for pre-owned guns at gun shops is that they tend to be consignment pieces with little room for haggling. In most cases the owner wants close to market value, and then the shop wants their cut on top of that. No bueno.

I'll suggest calling around to pawn shops and find the ones that are FFL dealers. At least they own the guns and you stand a better chance of negotiating a better price. Play your cards right and have cash on hand though.

I don't know, I've done pretty well on a few guns in the marketplace. My most recent "steal" was a Chiappa 44mag lever gun (with big loop lever) for $450.

I was a little iffy on the deal going into it, but after a few trips to the range and about 300 rounds, I'm thrilled with it. The action is slick as butter, runs reliably on any ammo, and is accurate beyond my capabilities. Never a hiccup or FTF on all three outings.

The deals are out there.

I've gotten some great deals in the CG marketplace. I usually find stores have higher prices. Sure there are a lot of overpriced items here too, but if you know what you are looking for and how much you are willing to pay just ignore those ads.

I recently saw a 1920's commercial Luger that wasn't anything particularly special at a LGS for over $2000.

There's definitely deals to be had and theres the stuff that lingers because it's priced too high. .40 right now is a steal with everyone going 9mm. I got 2 unfired XDms .40 a 4.5 w/ 5 mags & a box of ammo for 650 and a 3.8 compact w/ 2 mags for 625. Guns go for 625 and mags $30/each. I did wait about a year to find that 3.8 compact unfired though

Some guy was dumping an AR w/ $3600 in it for 1800 and couldn't unload it for a long time. Wish I had the cash for that one. There's deals if you can look and be patient
