If I go back and if its still there I really don't want to go back to that place I did not have a good time there. Too many people too busy lots of things started but not finished timely. I do appreciate what there doing for the cause and all.

Nobody knows what they are currently selling, since it keeps changing. An up to date list of what operations are left out, and photos along with the BATFE letter they are using would be beneficial to EVERYONE involved or on the fence. Its a major ballache getting answers out of the first group buy since the organizer is MIA half the time or simply doesn't reply to direct questions.
The pictures that I linked to are the ones we are getting in post #93 he says that is the FINAL prototype. The ones the had to scrap were because during quality control inspections, they found the reference hole was in off by like .015" or some crap. Do you have a link about the design not being approved?

On the prototype they did not drill the Ejector retaining pin. Not extractor as I wrote above.
The ejector pin hole is most likely not drilled because you probably need to mill the slide rails before you drill the hole. But I thought those pics were actually quite good to be from a cell phone.

With it being a through hole, not a blind hole I don't see why it couldn't be drilled before milling the rails. Would just need to debur it. The takedown slot hole is already cut out and you would mill the slots through that hole as well.

If those photos are the final product and not the final prototype then their web page is very inaccurate.

All I am saying is an accurate product description would be helpful.

But getting a return phone call or email back from them is nearly impossible.

The pics on their website are of the original grip design. They redesigned the grip because people were complaining about it in the original group buy. I understand I would like more answers as well, but its not happening. It looks to me like the new grips have a cut out on the right back side for and ambi safety. I would like to ask if that is so, but I don't care enough to really put effort into worrying about it. I would definitely go by the photos posted by AR Tuma in this thread when he specifically said it was the final prototype.

not sure where you think the tax-exempt out-of-state online purchase is occurring. Ares is a CA company and the group buy organizer is a CA resident. The sale from Ares to the OP is a taxable sale.

Hey guys! And gals. Did an overview. We actually have about 50 frames paid for, and 20 jigs. Myprevious math was for everything. For paid we are halfways there.

I have a thought to share, followed by a question, please don't hesitate to give me an honest opinion.

I am very wary and worried about giving ares the money for this buy without completion of the previous. How would you all feel if i returned to the previous plan of holding this open until group buy one is over?

I am also open to suggestions. I can see it now, the troops may rally. I just want to make sure we have a final product in hand.

I agree on not giving them money until the first group has received their batch and there are no quality issues with it. Nothing would suck more than having expensive paper weights.

I am part of the first group buy. I would be interested in purchasing 2 frames in this group buy once I receive the frames from the first buy.
