Well Hoss it is in SoCal, I think Jacob needs to set up a San Diego forum.
You have a C3 assigned there or are you it?
Lots of Calgunners down there.

How do we get the word out to fix that? Can we create a SD Chapter sub-forum in the interim to so there is a place to house the SD gun shows, etc?

Leave ALL the gun shows where they are now. Don't get them mixed up with all the other posts or people won't be able to find them.
Just leave them in the Community forum by area.

Can we put up a forum for them to gather until someone steps up to run as C3?
Keep them from wandering around and maybe get run over or something serious.

We currently don't have a C3 person in San Diego to handle shoot N ques, meet ups ,range clean ups etc.
My C3 duties are to handle all the gun shows in the state.

If someone wants to step up to be the San Diego C3 person for the other events it sure would be appreciated.

If I understand the OP, there used to be a San Diego/ Imperial County sub forum, which would include all things central to SD/ Imperial- like LTC etc., not just Chapter info. It appears some of the sub-forums are being restructured.

http://calguns.net/calgunforum/showthread.php?t=628077

Oddly enough, if I search for posts that I've made in that sub-forum, they don't come up.

Everything is still there ,it's just in one monsterous thread with 2,223
replies that are listed by date and time, not subject .
The search function will not find anything at all,... as it is also confoosed.

All is hopeless.

Okay, I thought it was just me.
It is difficult to keep track of things.
I was hoping its just a transititional problem and I'll find my way.

Need more area breakdown.

What happened to Exposed; didn't he go south on us and would seem to me to be a potential S.D. area leader...maybe he doesn't want to at this time....not sure.

Anyone ask him?

Exposed and Round Eye are running the monthly Burbank shooting events.

There is a huge list of folks on the Roll Call thread.
Somebody ought to tie them all up in a group at least get together for a meeting.

Please don't take this as a confrontational reply, but that is incorrect. I'll wait for one of us to either catch up on the news.

I can only go by what I read on the Calendar of events and it does indicate Exposed participates at Burbank.

If you have other info its okay to point it out or make a correction.

Description

Hosted by CALGUNS Community Chapters (C3)

CalGunners like to shoot guns, and what better place than to join us at The Firing Line in Burbank Los Angeles C3 Monthly Shoot @ 7:00 PM.

Please review the following details pertaining to the meet:

Pistols - The occasional double tap is acceptable (but if it gets out of line the privilege will be taken away), no holstered pistols, no drawing from a holster, no open carry (all standard indoor range safety rules apply).

Rifles - The only permitted rifles must be of handgun caliber (9mm, .40, .357, 5.7mm, etc... are acceptable). ARs/AKs of the 22lr variant are also welcome.

Shotguns - At this time shotguns are NOT permitted.

Cost - $10, stay and shoot as long as you want! (FL Members are Free)

*CalGunners get membership prices on ammo and rentals.

REMINDER: - When you're there your actions represent the entire CalGuns community. We should always take responsibility for our actions, and treat their facility with the utmost respect.

As usual they will be reserving an entire side of the range for us. Depending on the turnout we may have to take turns and/or expand into the other range.

So, who's in? You know there is nothing better that you'd rather do on a Friday night than shoot some guns with fellow CalGunners!

Hope to see you there!

Is there a job description/duties list somewhere? What is a C3 and their responsibilities?

One of you is correct.

Exposed did move to a new location, but is currently getting settled in. When the dust have settled, he will let us know by shining a bright "E" spotlight in the sky, and we will then have a pow-wow Vatican style to determine how to proceed with restructuring the San Diego chapter.

But as other C3 have stated, if somebody wants to step up and take lead on creating and managing social events for the San Diego area, there is room for growth.

If you are motivated but just need to know what your next steps are, just ping one of us C3 Leaders and we will point you in the right direction.

Remember, the C3 is only as good as how you the members make it.
