Among the rest of my arsenal, ya. What happens when you run out of your .223, .308, etc... When you can keep thousands of rounds of .22lr on hand no problem? Plus it's light. Noob

we can make that test the day they come. apparently they can within 50yards? a bullet going into the undead is the same as going to the live ?

You're thinking 12 gauge .22 is spray and pray-hold em off til you get away....

Ok that was a crappy rhyme but I'll post a test video on youtube day one of the apocalypse

Beautiful paint. Could you explain a little of your technique? Spray cans? Coated with clear coat? Really Nice.

Honestly it was easy and I was lazy. Normally I freehand it with an airbrush but this time I just rattle canned it. First I painted it Krylon cammo forest green than I tapped it all up and cut the design I wanted out of it and painted Krylon tan then I retapped it and cut the parts out for the black. Then I used Tamyia waterbased flat clear on it. The Tamyia paint wont react to the solvents like normal oilbased paints would. Other than some scribe lines you see up close it came out as I expected and cheap and thats what I wanted.

The Savage TR is on my short list.

What scope is mounted on yours? You say sub MOA? What distance? What ammo?

Would you buy it again? I'm torn... This or a used Anschutz Model 64R or Biathlon. BIG price difference, but I quit buying 3 guns before I buy the one I actually WANT.

Thanks
Jeff

Other than having an issue with my first shot all my groups are within 1/4 inch at 25 yards, 1/2 to 3/4 at 50 and 1 to 2 inches at 100. Now I am only using Aguila target ammo so Im sure if I got better ammo I could close the gap even more. Im still on the fence with my TR, my Ruger 10/22 target rifle shot better but then again that was after I had for years and upgraded it over time and knew it like the back of my hand. I see potential with my TR but I will need more time to master it. I do wish someone made a good composite stock for this I like the tactical look but I dont think the wood is robust and thick enough to be a stable platform for shooting.

I have a ss 16x and used TPS low W rings on the factory mounts. I have about 1/8th inch clearance to the barrel. PERFECT!!!! I'll post some pics tonight.
