Default El Dorado Ranch, San Felipe, Baja Ca

Hello all,

I just discover Calguns and despite not being much of a forum rat I have to admit I am kind of obsessed. I am sure it will pass but before it does I wanted to share with you my experienced with getting in to El Dorado Ranch at San Felipe, Baja, Mexico.

You know the place, the 39,000 acre development by J Patrick Butler beginning in 1989. I mention it here for two reasons, the first is that El Dorado Ranch was heavily marketed at gun shows throughout the Western US and the second is how I finally picked up my own little piece of paradise, trading a Sig 522 for a "solar lot" at El Dorado Ranch. A parcel they like to think is worth $12,000.

Has anyone else been involved with Pat Butler or El Dorado Ranch? If so what are your impressions? I don't know what I will do with my solar lot, maybe build a structure to support an RV and put in a water tank. They seem perfectly willing to take the solar lot in trade for one with power and give me $12k in trade value. Has anyone done this?
