Default Scope mount parts in San Diego

6 x 32 fine thread for Leupold one piece mount. Does anywhere carry small fine thread non metric parts? I can order them online but don't have a lot of time mid deer season. Thanks.

6-32 is a standard thread, not a fine thread.
Home depot will have them in the drawers in the nut & bolt isle.

6-40 is fine thread for a #6 screw.

Most #6 gun screws are 6-48 which is extra fine.
I have seen several references to True Value having a box of "gun screws" which include 6-48 threads.

I have some 6-40 and 6-48 screws. Do you know what length and head type you need?
As Randall said, 6-32 is a very common screw thread, but not considered a fine thread. (hated by machinists all over the world too )

I don't remember breaking a tap in the last year or two until today.
It was a 6-32...

You beat me to it. I would say Marshall's is worth a try. Worth spending a half hour in there just looking at all the stuff they have. It's actually on Production Avenue, just off Miramar. Turn where you see the Starbucks.

Be warned, limited hours though. Opens early, closes at 5pm on weekdays. Closes at noon or 1pm on Sat.

Marshall's also sells really nice, cheap t-shirts with their logo on them. My closet used to be full of them, so much so that people assumed I worked there
