Default SSZS 9.0 dates ...... input ??

It's time to start thinking about this...
The last couple years its been in late April, but we did have a March one a few years back. It would be nice to hear from the CGSA / Women on Target / other .orgs on what dates they've got booked for events so we try not to conflict.
Narrow it down to 2, then put the poll up.

MAR 23-25 = ??
MAR30-APR1 = Easter - Out
APR 6-8 = ??
APR 13-15 = Knob Creek / No moon - Out
APR 20-22 = ??
APR 27-29 = ??

Or....?

When ever it is I've told wife I'm going, this is a Social event not to be missed, shooting is secondary

Artist is standing by waiting for this years T-shirt design instructions.
Going to have a theme at this SSZS?

hey vic, you got any of the tall shirts left from fall of 2017?

...I'll say I'm better than even I could make 27-29. It would be a social trip, not a shoot trip for me as well, as I'd probably rent a high fuel mileage car and haul butt down there for a 36 hour shindig, then haul butt back home. But those dates look good on my calendar so far.

I am still waiting to hear if I drew my Lanai'i axis deer tag, which I find out on Jan 22, but besides that, $ is all that could interfere.

I don't recall why some have favored the full moon over the years. Personally, I'd rather have no or very little moon so the stars can be seen. I brought some of my grandsons this last time and one brought his telescope hoping to see something. There was really nothing to see tho. I know they would really enjoy being able to see a large amount of stars and perhaps even the Milky Way. I would also.

Glad to see this community effort up and running.

Folks, please ellaborate as needed and shoot me a date if you would.

As you already know my hunting agenda is rather heavy this year; Lords willing I'll be starting in New Zealand shortly.

Let's keep the ball rolling.

Full moon made it easier for some night shooting a while back. While not good for stars, it did help to see some steel waaaaaay out there in the fields if they were angled right

Not that it's a requirement. Most of the night shooting, with the exception of that one year, are mag dumps and balls of fire.

We may not even need a poll, the 27-29 dates seam to be the most popular. With X's blessing, I'll go ahead and start a poll tomorrow for the last two weekends in April.

Sir.

You have no idea how much I do appreciate your help and willingness to take point and lead our family efforts.

Not a surprise, this year promise to be an extremely demanding year in my overseas hunts.

Regardless what, this is our biggest family reunion known to exit ever to its nature in CA.

Let's keep the fly flying!.

Respectfully.

Try to not book on the same weekend as Coachella or Stagecoach. They really jack the prices up those weekends for RV rentals. I’m there either way. I’ll clear the schedule for another SSZS anytime.

So that would kill the dates we have set...

Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. April 13-15, 2018. April 20-22, 2018.

Stagecoach Festival on April 27 29, 2018.

I still like 4/27-29..
