WWII Rifle display
I'm a WWII reenactor in the Southern California area. I usually set up this display and use the weapons to tell stories about various campaigns during the war. From top to bottom are : M1 carbine, M1 rifle, Berthier M.16 carbine, SMLE No.1 MKIII, Mosin Nagant 91/30, Mosin Nagant M39, Carcano M91/38, Mauser 98k, VZ.24, and (not seen) Arisaka Type 99. The visitors usually like the guns whereas the gun owners like the folding gun rack. Go figure.

That event was at Fort MacArthur which is a museum now. The fort used to be a coast artillery installation that protected the entrance to LA Harbor at San Pedro. Each year they hold "Old Fort MacArthur Days" which is a taste test if you will for reenactors from Roman times to the Gulf War. I was there as a member of the 325th Glider Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne, WW2

That sounds like it would be fun for us history buffs. I never heard of anything like that happening here in the S.F. Bay Area. If there is, I never known about it. If there isn't, there should be.

http://www.sanjose.com/keep-the-spir...-alive-e968301 I went last year and it was pretty cool. They had a contingent of WW2 reenactors here with lots of gear and vehicles to gawk at. If you wanted in with any local reenactors, that would be the place to look em up at. OP: Any chance you have plans for the folding rack you can share? |

I'm OK with waiting for now, as I don't have my shop setup right now. Hopefully I can find a nice place to rent with a garage soon and then all will be well. |

I belong to the group that uses firearms, and knows which bathroom to use. Tis better to have Trolled & lost, Than to never have Trolled, at all. Secret Club Member?. |

Thanks for all the kind remarks! Of course, being a reenactor doesn't exempt you from stuff like that. However I believe anyone can own full auto blank firing guns. Also we have several machine guns that rock and roll with propane. Owning a M1919 light machine gun is also legal (if semi auto) as it is not an assault rifle.
