I just got orders to a new unit and it said my MOS was 11B2G
I didn't know what the ASI was so I googled it and apparently it says I'm Ranger qualified. Ain't that strange? I don't ever recall going to Ranger school.

It is likely listing your billet position, not necessarily your skill set.

Yup, never even heard about that MOS before I joined, but got stuck with it because I wanted to go CFR, but after all is said and done, I'm pretty glad it worked out the way it did, sitting hotspot seemed pretty boring to me

Sounds a lot like my MOS, no one from my recruiter, to my DIs, to the instructors at MCT had any idea what a 7242 what Direct Air Support Operator meant.
BTW, it's Corps with an "S" at the end, you should know better. A corp is short for corporation, a corps is a military unit made up of 2 or more divisions. While the Corps may be many things we're definitely not a corporation.

Is Yuma really that bad? I've always thought of 29 Stumps as the armpit of the US, or at least the Corps.

What's your last name? If you were on the 2008 Karmah deployment with Weapons Co then there is a very good chance we know each other especially being an 0351...
