Default my new Mossberg .308 MVP Patrol...

Wanted to share my new MVP Patrol .308 I recently picked up at my LGS. Ive been wanting to get into some Coyote hunting and I was wanting something smaller, more agile, for hiking up into the hills around So Cal. The MVP Patrol was a perfect solution! So far I've added the Badger tactical bolt knob, Bushnell Elite 10x40 mil-dot scope, Caldwell 6"-9" bipod, a Slipstream Precision muzzle break and a OD green & black paracord sling. Also did a customs camo paint scheme to help blend into our local landscaping here in So Cal.

Here's a few pics of the finished product along with a range trip grouping at about 180yrs with my .308 handloads...

Cool looking gun. I'm not the most experienced yote hunter on calgay but your 10x scope is too much unless you are hunting salt flats or something dead flat with no cover. Those bastards use every little rise, ridge, etc. to sneak up on your calling and will pop up close. 10x is a hindrance at close ranges.

Go with a 2x7 or 3x9

Is that a rattle can job? Looks good.

Pretty sweet looking rifle. I got a MVP in 308 myself and still haven't started working on it yet as been spending most of my funds on handguns. Probably when next year comes around I'll probably get back to the rifles.

The 10x is gonna have to do. As far as the paint, I used Rustolem Camo colors- Khaki, Forest Green and Earth Brown. I have camo'd several rifles, prep is key! All have held up amazingly well, just as well as firearms which I've had Duracoated!

Right now I've settled on 44.6 of Varget over a 150gr Hornady FMJ

Love the camo pattern!

I should be testing my MVP Patrol 308 this weekend, after having been on travel for the last 2.5 weeks ><
