I am brand new to the world of conceal carry as well as open carry. Im waiting to receive my new holsters but I’m going to carry my XDM 9 and my CZ 75 BD OWB in BlackHawk Serpa holsters. Had to order some new clothes to make OWB more feasible but after a lot of research I decided that was the best method for me personally. I plan to pick up a Ruger LC9S Pro in the near future for AIWB carry.

I've seen too much go wrong with the Serpas. I like the Safariland ALS and GLS holsters when I open carry.

I like my g19
But i feel cool carrying my 1911. (Although it aggrivates the pain in my sciatic nerve)
Im buying a P250 tomorrow, and i think im going to get an X5 frame and that should be perfect. Or a compact frame.

Too much go wrong as in? More specifics? I’ve trained with them and I love the rapid draw and retention. Printing isn’t an issue as I can open or conceal carry as I choose.

In pressing the release, if you don’t leave your trigger finger straight while depressing, your finger can fall into the trigger guard. Tex Grebner shot himself in the leg:

I know you’re just trying to throw your “free state” shade on us, but printing isn’t an issue in California either, as long as your gun is covered.

Excellent video and I definitely appreciate that perspective and I agree it’s something to be watchful of. For me personally AIWB and IWB is something I’m still researching and trying out here and there as I haven’t decided whether or not it’s for me. OWB works well for now and I do plan on researching more to find the “best fit” for myself.

I was more giving a background on my carry type decision but yes I can also open carry since I’m free.

M&P 4" 45
M&P 4.25" 9mm CORE
Wilson CQB 5" 1911 in 45

I tend to favor the M&P as they're not as heavy. But I do like that Wilson.

”Substantially concealed” is the case law standard.

My license says I can use all handguns.
I currently carry a Sig P365.

Thinking of getting a Sig P320 TacOps Carry.

Anyone carry an M&P 45c? I'm thinking of picking one up if I can find one for a winter carry option.

Current carry is XDs-9 so I would be getting 1 additional round and obviously .45 ACP instead of 9mm.

Shield 9 about 75% of the time with a crossfire IWB. 10% with on your 6 OWB.

Glock 17 15% with a fobus OWB (Jacket or hoodie for outer garment).

Thinking about a 19 or 43 if I can find one for a good price.

Kimber Ultra CDP II as long as I'm wearing something with a belt. Shield 9 in workout wear (about the only thing light enough).

Glock 26 backed by a Glock 17+2 mag. Used to carry a single stack 9mm but not anymore. My Glock 43 is guarding the safe now.

I am allowed up to 10 on my list. But I usually carry my Kahr CW380 for day to day activities. If I'm doing anything outdoors (hiking, beach, etc.) I tend to switch to my S&W 642 because I feel that it's more reliable in a dirty, dusty, or sandy environment and I can use CCI Snakeshot if I need to. On the rare occasion that I think there is some elevated risk of being involved in a shooting (like the night Trump was elected, or if I'm selling something on Craigslist) then I'll wear my Glock 30S and carry an extra 13 round G21 mag.

Same here! I have a couple of 1911's, and even a NAA .22LR mini revolver on my permit but I rarely carry them. As far as the 1911's go, my Colt is good to go but if I ever needed to use the Kimber I could probably get 2 or 3 rounds of before it jammed.
