Default "Sub-Gun's" picture thread

I did a search and didn't see anything so I figured I would make a new one....
so lets see your "Legal" Sub guns... IE: MP5's, UMP's, UZI's, MAC's, Tommy Guns, ETC.
I'm sure I left some off the list.....

sorry if this is a double post...
now I have to take some better pictures but this will get things going....

MG34, that photo brings back memories. First time I ever fired a real firearm was in high school in 1985, with the local (Escondido) National Guard unit on a training weekend. I was in the OGHS NJROTC program, and the new NSI was a retired USMC full bird colonel. He arranged for those cadets who were interested to attend the less hazardous Guard training weekends. First one up: weapons qualification. Got to shoot the 1911, the M3 Grease Gun, and the M16A1 (A1 because it was full auto, not burst, and we were admonished several times to squeeze and release the trigger, not to hold it down).

Gotta love the Reagan military years.

PM a Mod to get it moved to the appropriate “gallery” section.

Jeepers, tell your chick who is holding the 1911 to hold her breath...its too much movement for any accurate shot. LOL.

Agreed. I've always wanted a Sten. When I was a kid some friends and I saved up for Sten parts kits. My uncle welded them together with a fake receiver and painted the barrel tip orange. Coolest toy gun ever.

Thats awesome. My dream firearm was always an MP5, those GSG's are good buys I hear, and since I'm stuck with the extended barrel thing I may as well buy one. Too bad we cant get them easier and with the cool features.

I posted elsewhere on Calguns but here are some pics of my Uzi. I will have to take another batch of it with the Solar Kydex wrap to make it into a featureless.

They have one specifically made for the MKE AT-94. Also if you pay by money order you get 15% off which saves you a little bit of money.

Once they received my money order they shipped it out quickly, defintely a smooth purchase.

Used a dremel tool and a mig welder to build it. The kit is from TNW firearms.
This thread has some great info on building one:

Cant wait to finish my HK USC to UMP .45 conversion. Hope to have some pics up in a week or two. Those are some nice MP5 clones. Anyone have information on MP5 builds, shoot me a PM. Looks like a fun project

My most recent build...

Thanks to Joe at Dakota Tactical for the heavy lifting! If you're in the market for a roller lock clone, Joe is the best of the best.

Please forgive the terrible phone picture!

That thing is amazing, I am familiar with the name Dakota Tactical. I looked into them for my USC to UMP conversion. Ended up going with Tom Bostic for the conversion though. So does Joe at Dakota sell just the receivers and send them to your FFL of choice? I'm really looking to build one, I got the Hk bug and can't shake it off haha.

Joe is a great guy who is completely willing to work with Californians and the SSE process. He's pretty slammed right now so a new build will probably take 9-12 months to deliver. I don't believe he sells bare receivers, but he will build a gun around your parts lot if he approves what you have. In other words, send him your parts and he'll send your FFL a pistol or rifle. Just be sure to add the necessary CA-legal items and you're in business.

Somebody had a Bostic UMP for sale around here recently which I tried to pick up. He ended up keeping it unfortunately.

As far as FFLs are concerned, I know that PD Gun Supply & Tool has a zero round sled for 9mm MP5s. It wouldn't be difficult to make one for any other size; I whipped one up for the eventual delivery of my 10mm MP5 build as well.

Tom Bostic is building my UMP as we speak. Went with just the stock block conversion though, so won't be sporting the full chop and weld unfortunately. Have my 9mm conversion sitting here on my desk as a paper weight. Really eager to get it back and all put together. I'll share some pics when its done.

Man that sounds awesome on the note of the MP5. If you wouldn't mind could you PM me a brief list of what parts are needed and recommended for a solid build? Im going to slowly start piecing together a build.
