just started this hobby, i have a dillon 550b with 45acp and 9mm dies. loaded up some test batches of 45acp.185grFN plated X-treme bullets, used titegroup powder, loaded 30 with a starting charge of 5gr then loaded another 30 with 5.4gr....dont have a chrono but i will just go by felt recoil and accuracy. i also have a lee precision single stage for my .308 and .270 win, cant wait to start loading the rifle carts. any advise would be appreciated. thanks.

Reading signs of high pressure is more than just judging by recoil and accuracy, especially with the rifle cartridges. Even a basic chronograph will be very helpful for working up loads using your specific components. I'd only load near the recommended starting loads if I didn't have one. I usually do that anyway.

I usually load in large batches of only 1 caliber, but today I was trying to get some loads done with recipes given to me by a friend. So today was a little out of the ordinary for me
150, 357 mag with AA5 100, 45 ACP with power pistol 100, 380 ACP with Trail boss

Turned out 150 rounds of 9mm on my LCT in an hour. After doing some testing at the range today, I think I finally settled in on a good recipe for my M&P.
Barry's 124 grain round nose 4.4 grains Winchester W231 1.13 C.O.L.

My .45acp Critter-Gitter load, 51 rounds:
   ... and cleaned the 1911 yesterday, detail strip. The load is a nominal 5.2 grains of W231 under a my soft-cast (almost pure lead, with just enough tin to let it flow but not frost at high heat) flat nose, truncated cone 230 grain nominal, 235 to 240 grain actual (due to the alloy used). Be aware that this MAX according to the Lyman Cast Bullet Handbook but pressure is listed as about 3kpsi under standard .45acp. Start low at about 4.2 grains and work up to 5.2 MAX. This load is the longest I could take it with this bullet and still have it function in the magazines. This usually means 1.275COL for round nose but, in this case using truncated cone, it maxed out at an even 1.25COL. Lube was homemade. Don't remember the particular blend I had on these boolits. Something like beeswax, LLA, lanolin and Militec-1. May have some paraffin in there. Something fancy that I'll not be doing again. Next will be beeswax/Crisco/lanolin or something simple like that! That looks like the Lee 230 gr truncated bullet. What a good six cavity mold to have when you have close to a ton of scrap lead in 5 gallon buckets laying around!

Loaded 50 rounds of .270 winchester, 150gr Hornady SST over 54gr of IMR 4831, 3.280 COAL with a CCI #200 primer. My 100ATR loves that load. Was the last of my bullets though so I need to get to Bruno's over in North Phoenix to pick up some more.
Also loaded 3 10 round groups of test loads for 115gr plated bullets to shoot through my Beretta, all using bullseye powder.

Turned out 100 rounds of 9mm tonight so I have something to use this weekend. Berrys 124gr round nose over 4.3gr of W231 set at 1.13"

Ur much more oragnized than me. All my reloads go into a ammo can loosely.
Yesterday got my 223 conversion, loaded 50 rounds to see how it went. Went perfectly gunna go to ammo bros tomorrow and get another ammo box for my reloaded 223.

Finished up 300 rounds of 9mm ( 124gr FMJRN, 5.5gr Unique ).
I originally bought my Hornandy L-N-L from another member here and "just" got around installing the 9mm die set. Appears the previous owner had setup the 9mm dies perfectly as I only had to reconfigure the powder dispenser from rifle to pistol. First 100 took about 40 minutes, but after that, 20 min. per 100! I was basically doing 300 rounds an hour. I had two casings that were crimped that I didn't catch; nothing popped but I had two deformed primers stuck so my total was actually 298 rounds. I'm now thinking of getting the add on auto casing dispenser now. Having to concentrate on feeding a bullet and the casing seemed like a chore. Hoping the casing dispenser will speed things up slightly but mostly, so I can focus on just placing the bullet on the casing. The thing that "feels" it takes the longest is filling up the priming tube!

100rds of 32ACP. These are factory loads which I didn't like how they performed so I spend the day un-loading them (bullet pulling). I'll re-reload them later this week for next Sunday @Chabot.
BTW, the factory ammo was American Ammunition Company, A-MERC. Half the box was out of spec and wouldn't feed - the case got stuck in the chamber.

The round gets pushed in until the extractor band lines up with the marker and then I spin the bullet by the tip on the "underside" of the cardboard.

It seams like I haven't actually loaded in weeks (more like a week) but have just been processing brass. lots and lots of brass. I deprimed and resized about 2 gallons of 45 tonight giving me about 4 gallons that I need to run through stainless. I almost want to get a progressive with a case feeder just to process brass.

Loaded 50 rounds each of 308 & 303 with my new ATF powder!
I ordered it through USI in Concord. It took a month, but I got 5 lbs for $98 & change.

Actually I only started collecting Milsurps 3 years ago. I think I might own about 24...They're cheaper than guns that will most likely never get the opportunity to kill somebody... Had the Dillon repair man come over and resolve the powder bar adjust/case drop problems on my 650. Loaded 300 .357 lead heads for lever silhouettes. 12gr 2400 / 158gr RNFP
