Went out to shoot the 100 yd Feb. scoped, and the 100 yard scoped Belt match today. A little swirly wind at Laguna Seca didn't help....
Managed a 52 for the 5 shot Feb. match, and a 97 for the Belt match
shooting Eley Team from my savage MK II BV w/ Nikon 6-18x40 off a bipod and rear bag.

Tic Tock boys and girls, I make a pretty nice belt if I do say so myself.
Oh, I spoke with 10Xhobby today, there may or may not have been a little smack talking going on. Watch for the blood letting in the 15 yrd pistol match.

Yeah, that belt looks great and I got the perfect spot for it!
I'll get out to the range once or maybe twice more this month. I got to improve some scores...

He sure has, I'm just hoping he doesn't have a 58 inch waste line.

Maybe I can give him a run for the money ( BELT) with my 25 yard pistol target, "coming to a shooting range near you" haha

Also FredoSD will be building me some Star Leather goods for my trip to Front Sight, I have not ordered the belt yet. lol

Izzy...is the 15 yard pistol or the 25 yard pistol for the belt match?

I just talked with 10xhobby and he is already calling his score like hes the Babe Ruth of Calguns Rimfire...got a week left, better get busy!!

Ill try throwing some of my ammo at paper tonight & see if I can get me a new belt. Might try a few regular targets also.

1. There are 3 targets that will be in the running for this prize.
a. The 25yd Pistol Target, offhand or bench, your choice. Max Score 100pts.

b. The 50 yd Iron Sight Target. The two center rings will be scored as a "10" then 9, 8, 7, etc. That's different than the scoring in this months match on that target but its the only way I could think of to equalize scoring for all 3 targets. Max Score 100pts.

c. The 100yd Scoped Target. To compete for this prize you will need to shoot 10 shots. The center red dot and next white ring will score as a "10" then 9, 8, 7, etc. That's different than the scoring in this months match on that target but its the only way I could think of to equalize scoring for all 3 targets. Max Score 100pts.

2. The winner will be selected by me based on the best score on these 3 targets. In the event of a tie I will use the normal bonus points as the tie breaker. If that is still a tie then the shooters who tie will need to have a shoot-off to determine the final winner. If there is no tie the bonus points will not be counted.

Izzy

might want to change post #1 to match. Looks like this right now...

I don't think I have made a mistake (although that's possible). There are four prizes offered this month. The first three are in the normal match and are T-Shirts.

The fourth is in the verbage below the line: New Alert and is a custom belt offered by FredoSD. I hope this clarifies the difference between the two areas of the match.

Thank you!

I got a few minutes away from yard work today and put about 40 rounds through some paper. Moving onto 7 acres, I thought there would be plenty of time to shoot but boy was I wrong.

Here are my best two targets (same target & class). Hopefully I can do more this week.

Pistol, 25 yard, bench rest - (2) 100

Thanks! The other two targets were not nearly as good.

I found an OK 25 yard spot to set up shop for now. The poison oak is coming in thick so Ill have to find a better spot later.

You are NOW the "Babe Ruth" of Cal Guns.
I will still try to shoot a few more targets this week, but you did set the bar very high. Gonna be hard to beat.

Well, I guess I better get off my butt and get to shooting. Not that it will do any good. Going to try to shoot the 15 yrd. blood match tonight. Wife is expecting a house full of cacklin hens so I think I can get out for a cpl of hours.

Got a chance to shoot today. Shot the 100yd Iron Sight target. Temp was 60 degrees, light variable wind. Kimber 82g using Lapua Center-X ammo. It is all about the ammo. Score 55.

Nice shooting!

I want an 82G so bad! Ive been horrible with my CMP paperwork and ended up getting the Savage FVT...7 days left!

Ordered 300 rounds of the Lapua ammo earlier today, fingers crossed the new baby likes it.

Brain farts hurt my brain.
Well I'm not sure I should even post this in this thread but what the heck. I figure it might give you guys a giggle.
I went out and shot the 15 yrd bench rest pistol. I was feeling pretty good until I got home and noticed that I was required to shoot 5 per bull, not the 3 shots per bull you see here.
If I don't get another chance to shoot this month I will have to forfit the t-shirt match to that hobby guy from NorCal. A bet is a bet but still not what I would call my shining moment

Total 57 unusable score

Oh geeesh I can't even score right. I'd fix it but it's a moot point anyway.

No it was one shot. It was really strange. Almost like it keyholed. It ripped a oblong hole but left flaps of paper on each side. Took me quite a few targets to get that score. My wife was getting really bored.

Sorry Izzy, I should have said it is the t-shirt blood match (side bet) between me and the man from NorCal. You know the one you're checking targets for powder burns

Well definitely nowhere near as good as some of the incredible shooters we have here, but here is my offering nonetheless. I had hoped to improve on these scores, but due to some unfortunate mishaps, I've been resigned to the house for the past week and a half and there is no chance ill be able to get out to the range again before the end of the month. So...with that having been said, here's my 15 yd and 25 yd pistol targets, both shot off hand with open sights with my buck mark camper. Ironically even though I shot the 25 yd target a half dozen more times, I just could not improve on the first time I shot it at the beginning of the month.

25 yd target:

15 yd target:

I just noticed all the other 15 yd pistol targets only had 5 shots per the comment on the target - I had to go back and check the rules because I thought I screwed up. It does say 10 shots per target for the 15 yd pistol correct?

Edit: ok, I'm an idiot. 1 page = 1 target with 2 bulls. DOH! Well, crap. . Oh well. It was fun regardless.

I thought that might be it but wanted to be sure that others knew the match ended on the 28th with a new one starting on March 1st. Make sure you both take plenty of band-aids for your match.

Hey, nice job on the 25 yard offhand target. That target is a tough one with iron sights on a pistol. Just keep shooting this match with us and you will be surprised how much your scores will improve. Nice job
