which sks model is generally considered to be best quality? least quality? Are there any to stay away from?

Russians are top of the line because well that is the country that created them. Sino-soviets and East Germans and N. Koreans are very hard to come by and really a good collector items. As far as shooter Chinese and Yugo are you best. Rommy's and Albanians...ehh I personally consider them the lowest because of the material and well the countries. Chinese are best if your on a budget to be honest with you.
