And, FYI - I'm bringing a drone, some community targets, and hopefully some community firewood.

That's what she said!

I have no idea, impossible to predict my travel schedule. A couple weeks ago I got sent to Dubai with 12 hours notice. So I sort of just need to pack clothes the night before SSZS, and hope that I'm taking them to so-cal and not europe the next morning.

I wonder how well it'd hold up with a layer of polycarbonate over it?

This survived the firing squad for use with Mosin Madness last zombie shoot. My target stand didn't do as well. No plastic allowed. The head of the lastest design is formed from rabbit fencing and masking tape.

Update.

We are just shy of the 30 day mark.

The initial super secret posts will be updated shortly ( I do appreciate your communications guys but due to event's rispect I'll not disclose GPS before the event), this is part of the concept and anticipation/fun to the biggest free event in this part of our country.

A spread sheet will be created for fellow volunteers / donors who would kindly are offering participation.

Once again, thus is your family event and any help is highly appreciated.

New communication equipment has arrived and members of our beloved family are assisting me in order to bring the stuff up to par.

More top notch LED lighting towers have arrived as well, I think I'm going to have to do douse the contraptions so the C&Rs can light up the night again.

I'm still need quite a few items to make our event happened and I hope you will open your heart and participate with donations/voluntary work.

Lonewolf.

Really the inverse, bulletproof glass is usually polycarbonate, but any polycarbonate thinner than about an inch is not very bulletproof

Going out to the usual site this coming Sat. the 25th. Will report anything worth noting.

We were out at the spot this weekend. The road in is passable, although we will see if the rain does any more damage to the usual problem areas. There are two ramps, one at the flat and one on the left end of the line that will provide access for cars and trucks.

The site is very green with new brush and wildflowers everywhere. Campsites all look good and most of the fire pits are still intact.

Guys, we're going to have some cleanup to do at the firing line. There's a lot of 22 brass and aluminum casings of various calibers at the line. I've got two magnetic pickups that I'm bringing with me that I got at Harbor Freight. They were $10. If we could make a serious effort before and after the shoot to pick up the casings around us, we could leave the spot cleaner than before our event.

Thank you sir!.

Please keep us updated about road conditions if you would, we are expecting more rain this upcoming weekend and it'll be nice to know what our fellow brothers hauling RVs need to do.

This was taken yesterday.

Just stay on your left and your should be fine.

Also, I'd climbed to the long range target and gave it some much needed TLC.

Yup, it's still there, now you will be able to see it and stretch the scope to the max...

Lonewolf.

* Edit.... I'd found the location of our other longe range target but unfortunately it is no longer there, only the wood reinforcements remains.

I can't believe the local federation of desert steel scavengers made it all the way up there to haul that 1/2", 24" diam steel gong.

More power to them I guess....

Nope, The target is always there and periodically maintained for the pilgrims.

From the south side of the line you should set your scope at 700 + yds.

Remember, you will always be shooting uphill ( so the 700 + yds on the flat should be compensated for elevation....) on top of that, wind is a real factor on top of that hill.

Enjoy!.

Addendum.

One important thing about the remaining long range target.

That target is a 12"× 24" steel plate.

Big deal....... so what's so special about a 12x 24" target?.

Answer.

Center mass at 700+ uphill yds!.

Open invitation to all of our family members to join us at the long range shooting station.

Concept design for shirt has been settled, artist is in finishing stages.
Planning to print NLT 1st week of April, ready to ship a few days later.

Will keep you posted, soon as I get final design I'll post here, then once shirt printed I'll post again as in the past.

This year shirt color is going to be the Sand color we all like, not so hot in the desert.
If anyone wants an extra tall, let me know ahead of time or live with the regular cut.
Extra tall is about 2 inches longer than regular sized.

EDIT: Also extra tall is $2 more than the regular cuts.

Is 870 yards shooting all the way from the left side of the firing lane?

I'm sorry if this question has been asked already, but do I need a 4x4 truck to reach the super secret location? Been thinking of joining this time but I only have a car.
