Jedi,
not sure how I really feel about these guys. First they will not ship to FFL 03-COE holders in CA. Then they mark-up their ammo because of the shortage. 9MM 124 GR RN REMAN .465/rd. Not what I would call friend of the gun community. But as you correctly stated for those who need it, I hope they don't need much. My memory is long. At some point, the supply chain will catch up and they will be looking for customers.

California's anti-price gouging statute, Penal Code Section 396, prohibits raising the price of many consumer goods and services by more than 10% after an emergency has been declared. Local laws may also contain their own prohibitions on price gouging.

If guns and ammo are essential during this time, and I think our boy Gavin did say something about emergency when this started (in order to get Fed $$), there could be a law suit in the someone's future.

I've got advanced tactics class the first week of October and can bring some back to Bay Area. You'll have to call pro shop when I'm there and release them for me to pick up. I had a buddy grab some for me a few years ago. Let me know

ya, your correct it was in the $20,000+, my guess, the way it is now, I'll bet there will be 3 levels, the original expensive one is now what will be the top level, and he will over time try to work you up to it with new offers.

God I hope not but saw where the Gov. is keeping the state on lock down till November possibly. It is amazing how the Government in Blue states has no problem running businesses into the ground.

I saw itís targeted and by the week decision. Nye County was not in the list fortunately. A buddy who lives in LV seems confident FS will be open. Fingers crossed.

Good. I think rather than taking the risks personally, I will have the newbs order individually from ASW, and if needed, cancel individually.

Hope not, private booked for early October. When I spoke with Dani right before Independence day, she said plan was still to reopen right after holiday. Brother said he spoke with them recently and plan was still in place for our private to happen

Hopefully NV Governor's orders don't get more strict.
As it is I'm thinking the mask / social distancing rules are going to be a present quite the challenge.
Let's hope for the best

Was planning a 2 week trip to FS for Oct. It don't look good as my wife isn't to keen about going out due to this virus crap - thing is, she is usually right on target.

All set for a 2-day Rifle SB on 9/2 and a 2-day Handgun SB on 9/4.

Plan on taking my Ruger Mini-30 re-barreled to 6.5 Grendel (of course) in an Archangel stock with Vortex Strike Eagle 1-6x.

Will take the HG course with an FNX-45 Tactical and try to get back to DA/SA trigger.

Is it worth joining if you only attend at most two out of state trainings per year?

Its worth it. Once a member, you don't pay for the classes. Only your travel, room and board, and ammo.

Many on here can sell you a discounted membership (including me).

Many members only get out 2-3 times per year.

Lots of members train twice annually. It would be nice to do more but not always easy to make the logistics work in people's lives.

I went in March after a very generous Calgunner here gifted me a 4-day certificate. While I was there I ended up buying a membership from another Calgunner because I was having such a good time and learning so much.

I am enrolled in two back to back classes in October 94-day defensive handgun and 4-day tactical shotgun), Covid-willing and plan on getting out there once a year.

So yes, even if you only go out once a year, it's well worth it. Even better if you can take more than one class while you're out there, but even if it's only one class a year, even if it's the same class each year (like the 4-day defensive handgun course) it would still be worth it in my opinion.

Woot!

Something new to add to the range bag... We can't have ourselves passing out in the desert heat, right?

At the lowest setting - still 3/4th of the battery at 6-hrs!?!

Congrats on the decision.

Another low risk way is to buy a 4 day class certificate on eBay for $25 or less. But guaranteed youíll buy a membership eventually LOL

Nice! In the past, Iíd comment itís too bulky to pack when you fly in and out, but now my daughter lives in LV.

Even at the highest setting Iím sure it can be recharged at lunch time, right? Now all we need is a portable water mister to place in front of it

Well, I already knew what to expect. I tried someone else's fan a couple of weekends back... More than sufficient at Mid-setting...

I'm curious about the food situation too. We'll be out there with our oldest grandson the first weekend in October.
