Wow these are some nice pics. I am looking to purchase my firearm and would like a shotgun just for home defense. I would like to know how much do these Saiga 12 go for? Are they legal to own in CA? Where can I purchase one? Is it legal to shorten the barrel? Some of the pics I see that the barrels are pretty short than other shotguns.

$899 is retail. But to look like these you will need to convert it. About an extra $300 or so depending on what you do.

Yes they are legal to own in CA as long as it has a bullet button installed.

Just check your local gun shop.

The shotgun must have a minimum barrel length of 18" and an overall minimum length of 26".

You may not have a folding stock AND a pistol grip on a semi auto shotgun in California. So when you do the conversion do not order a folding stock.

FYI and IMHO, if you are looking for a shotgun for home defense I would pick up a Mossberg 500 or Remington 870. You can buy them for less than $400 and it would be more practical for home defense.

My Kushnapup. I polished the bolt and opened up the ports. It eats and spews everything from birdshot to wax slugs without flinching.

I love this weapon !

Default Title should be renamed to include V12.

Needs a few mods and a few more mags.

Had some issues with porosity in my tig welds due to a regulator leak but after a quick blast it's starting to look like something.

Flattened trigger guard rivets with a ground down bolt and akbuilder rivet jig base

Thank you, I did some more work to it. Like it much better in this current form.
Fixed stock (pinned), cut barrel & installed (perm pinned) flash hider, 18.5" total barrel length (rail barrel clamp makes it seem even more compact)... Factory railed hand guard, Cut off factory safety add-ons on both sides (they interfere more than help), I prefer original AK lever.
Burris FF III over previous PA Micro Dot.
It might not be ideal 12G for everything but it's probably the best combat shotguns in existence imo, especially in this form (- the mag lock). 100% reliable.
