What a joke. These guys give marine a bad name. I've been saved by afew jarheads many times, no one I'd rather have in a fight but these guys have no integrity.

Can someone define a "timely delay", what a weak deal. Seems like they might have needed to put up a smoke screen for all the lawyer-talk going around.

I think that is actually from an apology letter they (Ares) got from on of their suppliers. I believe it is the backordered AR lowers that the letter is about not the grips.

Does anybody have a broken, ie mag catch, grip the don't need. I want to try to make a grip out of two pieces of aluminium then tig the two halves together. Having something to start from would be nice.

I may even draw the halves up and share, or get a quote to get them cnc machined.

Hey core you still have you broken grip.

Has there been any communication from ARES if this grip is going to be of the proper specs?

Lol I guess I didn't make it clear. He said that they were hoping for the mold to come out and be done so they can start producing the grips. Being done would mean that they are to spec. But that all depends on whether the mold is right.

I guess that they haven't released any information whether this new mold for the grips is at the right dimensions. I was hoping that they would post something up for a status update.

I agree, they seem more worried about their recent purchases for ar lowers instead of a group buy dating a year old. I think they dought our abilitity to act on things. It seems they assume we won't do anything because we have waited too long.

They posted on Facebook. "The company making the grips is still working on some kinks. Mold came out to hot and the mag well was warped. I have been calling them everyday for an update."
Or something like that

I don't see why they are having so many heat-related issues. they should have a designed heat range for what the mold should be run out with the plastic being used, why not make a couple at a couple different temp points to see how they come out. it shouldn't take much time to dial in the exact temp. don't run a batch and then look at them and decide they are all bad.

Something doesn't smell right... after this many times, no. I call it BS.

I am on board with a lawsuit. This is BS bigtime. There is no grip problem being solved. We are being lied to over and over. Nothing is being done. They have taken all our money and delivered a half product that is useless without the other half (the grips). Lets start cranking down the vice on the issue. I for one will be open to any action that my fellow calgunners see fit. Lets do this. Enough sitting here and talking about it on this thread. PM me if you want support.
