Default Coast Guard Chief killed

This was a LE Action so I posted it here, hope that is alright.

This was my Nephews boat, he was part of the crew that retired the old 83 and commissioned the new 87, brought it from Louisiana to California. I believe the deceased took over when my Nephew retired this year as a Senior Chief. The boat stood in the background, Terminal Island, during the retirement ceremony and I got met the crew.

RIP Sailor.

A veteran U.S. Coast Guard officer was killed Sunday after suspected smugglers rammed his vessel near Santa Cruz Island, casting him into the ocean with a fatal head wound.

God's Speed our fallen brethren.

I'm thinking that felonious assault should have been met with a hail of large caliber rifle fire.

This link has the Criminal Compliant at the bottom of the page.

They where within 20 miles of escaping back to Mexico. These are bad guys.

I used to work at the station where the Coast Guard station was right next to it. I was told the Senior Chief was from that station. It is too close to home.

RIP Senior Chief...
