Yes, that makes sense Kris.

If you permit me, there's possibly another angle (and source of help for funding) for this film. Consider what happened just 90 miles south of the Florida Keys in Cuba in 1959. Cuban-Americans (like myself) are "extremely passionate and protective" of their freedoms and you will find a very very large number of these folks feel that any laws that threaten their civil liberties, the right to bear arms, etc. will be met with a great amount of resistance both politically and at times via demonstrations. I don't know if you've ever been to South Florida, but many of my people are lock-in-step in defending the 2nd Amendment and will do so without hesitation.

That being said perhaps you can try contacting groups like the Cuban American Foundation etc. and see what if anything they can do for you and your project.
