No. If it's not ready, you'll just be Po'd. You've waited this long, a little longer isn't important.

I totally get it but I'd wait till tomorrow. I heard that they produce and update orders on tuesdays and at the very least it gives her time to reply

I ended up getting the email about an hour later that it's ready for pick up!

Yes, in August. Basic course. Watched some instructional videos, classroom discussions and range time. Qualification is very easy.

Very layed back, easy qualifying. Does not mean that you should not practice, should always do that!!

Forgot to post my final timeline

3/22 online application
7/17 interview
7/27 e-mail received to get livescan, training and update residency
8/03 livescan & upload livescan form
8/12 training & upload certificate and updated residency docs
9/20 e-mail stating permit has been issued/final payment made
9/25 e-mail that permit is ready for pick up

Picked it up on the 28th. The 2 older gentlemen working were excellent to deal with. We cracked jokes and laughed about Marin County (where I moved from). I know some people get the e-mail that the permit is ready for pick up right away and some don't get it for weeks, but I think generally the permits are ready within a day of receiving final payment confirmation e-mail.

How long is my live scan good for. It’s being more than 6 months since my friend’s live scan was approved but my friend has not gotten around to take her class. Is there an expiration day or does she has to re-apply for her ccw.
Any info will be greatly appreciated

I uploaded the live scan paperwork when I did it, the lady said it would be pretty quick turnaround. I am trying to schedule my training, will I get an e-mail before I upload my training cert?

Yes but you should do your training right away. You'll get an e-mail to submit training cert and updated residency very soon. Get your training done right away and you'll be ready to go as soon as you get that next e-mail.

Typically, how long is it between you submit your paperwork saying you've done your training and the time you need to pick up your CCW? My interview is this month and I want to make sure I have all the details going in

23 days for me but I know some people got approval e-mails a couple days after uploading training cert, others somewhere in between. May just be luck of the draw. They seem to process in waves. I'd just recommend following their instruction and not jumping ahead. Do your training as soon as possible through, just don't upload your cert until they tell you to. Just my opinion.

Not sure if the process change from the time when you did it because I was told to upload the live scan and training certs forms along with two new proof of residency online after my application got approved.

Correct. Just follow the instruction. Make sure you're signed up for text and email notifications. Several of us have posted our timelines in this thread. Myself and maybe a couple others reflect a more accurate representation of the current process since things have changed some. Only seems to be getting faster.

Sounds good. I'm really tempted to do the training ahead of time, but I should probably just until after I get the approval.

TheBillMan..when was your going to expire?

It says as soon as your renew that is your new expiration date. Mien isnt unitl 12/30/17. I'm ready to submit now but I'm not losing 2 months of paid ' civil rights".

I see yours took 16 days so I might just wait until end of November. Pretty crappy they restart your renewal if you are ahead of time.

Mine was going to expire on 10/23/2017 of this month, so I lost around 3 and half weeks of time off my original CCW permit date. Anyhow, if I were you, I would hold off until early December before you submit your paper work if you want to stay close to getting two full years of time off your current permit!

physically go to your house? I don't think so. You do need to provide two forms to show address

Didn't think so. I've read that some counties do. I was just curious cuz my wife or kids have not said anything about the sheriffs coming to our house. I gave em 2 proofs of residence at initial application and another 2 with my training certificate.
