Tax Return Check for Proof of Residence?
I'm one of those people who doesn't really have a secondary proof of residence. I was wondering if a tax return check could be used as proof of residence. Also how many days are these documents good for? Is it a year from the date on the document since I know you can use vehicle registration?

To my knowledge, a tax return check cannot be used. I beleive it must be a state issued license or registration certificate that shows a monetary ammount paid as well as a date of issue as well as expiration

3. ... Purchasers of handguns are also required to provide proof of California residency, such as a utility bill, residential lease, property deed, or government-issued identification (other than a drivers license or other DMV-issued identification).

No a passport will not qualify. There is no address on it. A residential lease or rental agreement is what most use who do not have a vehicle of utility in their name. Even if you "rent" from your parents. Have them type up a simple rental agreement with dates and the address on it. Both you and your parents need to sign it. That can be used to meet the need to show a second form of address requirement.
