I don't know if the 10 off 100 applies but that'd make it even cheaper.
Edit: Tried it and it said it was a qualifying order. That's $10 cheaper! |

I picked one of these up around Christmas time for a build for a friend and matched it with a Palmetto lower. It's nothing fancy, but cycles ammo good and there were no FTF or anything.

Thank you guys, I went ahead and ordered one. I'm thinking I will be happier with their shipping time than Palmetto which always takes over a week and a half and costs more.

I notice the barrel is not chrome lined, but is that necessarily a bad thing? My M&P 15 Sport 2 I think also is not chrome lined. Only thing I can find about it is it is melanite or armornite finished. I pretty much got this cheap ar stoner upper so I can feel ok about shooting steel cased ammo with it. Anyone see any pitfalls with that strategy?

So, when should you go chrome lined? Most casual shooters will get by just fine with either chrome-lined or non chrome-lined barrels. The fact is, most of us donāt get out to the range often enough, nor engage in rapid fire when we do (most ranges prohibit the practice). Even shooters who occasionally engage in periodic rapid-fire with their AR-15 style rifle may not notice the effects of excess barrel wear for a number of years. A good non chrome-lined barrel can last for over 5,000 rounds before it begins to show a loss of accuracy. If you shoot 1,000 rounds a year, even blasting through a full magazine as fast as you can pull the trigger on ever range trip, it could take 5 years or more before any significant loss of accuracy begins to become apparent.

I received the Stoner upper with BCG and charging handle. today. I ordered it on 27 Feb and received today on the first. Now that is great shipping.
Fit and finish is good, all in all I am very happy.

it might not apply this time, but I recommend trying an extension called honey that will automatically try a database of coupons for you before every purchase. it also works well with amazon and tries to find you lower overall prices.

Also, I inspected the product a bit and I can tell it's pretty decent quality compared to my m&p 15 sport 2. The handguard is beefier with internal shielding. the bolt has MPI on it, which is a pleasant bonus. It mated perfectly with no wiggle on my Anderson lower. the Barrel is stamped 5.56 NATO 1:9 AR-S. Same twist, so same bullet weights should be fine 55s and 62s all day! |

I like mine, because I was able to shoot 2 moa with iron sights. But I dislike it because the pinned gas block is canted slightly to the left. I figure it's so cheap, what else would I expect. I'll use it till I shoot out the barrel and then figure something out.
for the price... I would recommend it. |

I think it would be very difficult to build one from scratch at this price, and there would be some fitment requirements which you may not want to deal with. I did quite a bit of research on this and the general consensus seems to be they are decent, serviceable uppers. A common sentiment is that many thought it was a good value. Its not one of the trendy high end makers but I expect it will hit targets just fine at 100 yards, and possibly plates out to 300. Of course PSA also comes into the mix in this price range, but you're looking at slightly more money for PSA. Midway has good CS so I don't expect any issues there. |

Mine came off very easily. I used a lower vise block and the UTG tool. I don't generally like utg, but that tool is well made and also services 308 rifles. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
