Oh, and if you're an AK-47 aficionado I think you'll thoroughly enjoy this video with Larry Vickers. A great discussion for sure.

Bipod came from APEX and I sourced the scope from Poland.

A polish AKMS I built off an 80% and then had refinished. Was going for the Goldeneye underfolder look!

I bought my first AK April 2018, a $500 AMD-63. I already have an AK Master Mount for it, as well as an AK Master Mount BHO safety, RS Regulate AK-302M and AKML rails, and a Sig Romeo5 RDS.

I bought my second AK on MLK 2019, a used but unfired Arsenal SAM7UF. Found it local for CHEAP! I LOVE the milled receiver. This one will stay stock for awhile.

I used to love milled AK's too until I started runnin & gunnin' with them. They get heavy fast. Finally started working on the WASR I bought in December. The Magpul grip is actually going away...love the tacky feel but its too short for my hands. Lots more to come but here's where it stands now...

Alright so finally finished up the 'ol WASR. Probably put too much money in to this thing but what the hell eh? My rattlecan camo job came out a little lighter than I wanted but it actually matches the terrain here in the high desert pretty well so I'll most likely not change it. Should be out running some drills with it next weekend. I'm glad my old US Palm mags fit nicely in her, still like them better than Magpuls.

Specs:

GL-Core stock

Definitive Arms stock adapter

Strike Industries pistol grip

ALG Defense trigger

Polish enhanced safety selector

Extended charging handle from HKParts.net

SIG Romeo 4DR on an Attero Arms mount (absolutely fantastic mount!)

Troy Industries gas tube and (short) handguard

Magpul MVG

Arisaka 300 light on a Haley Strategic Thorntail SBR mount with Surefire tapeswitch

Meridian Defense Corp BD2 muzzle brake

Ferro Concepts Slingster sling

I really like the BD2 muzzle brake. Shot a few hundred rounds with it already with some rapid fire. There's not a HUGE difference between it and the standard slant brake (meaning your muzzle is still gonna move) but it definitely helps. Meridian Defense makes a longer version of it with an extra port called the BD3 which in theory should be even more effective, however, it is heavier and costs more.

I can't say enough good things about the Attero Arms mount. I was more excited about this addition than any other accessory. Haven't run it through its paces yet but it looks very promising. Super solid, unobtrusive, light, and easy to install. It places the optic in the perfect position on the rifle in my opinion. There is a rear sight integrated in to the mount (right in front of the optic itself) and yes there is low co-witness.

*EDIT: Here's a few closer shots of the Attero Arms mount...

Thanks for the extra pics of the Attero that thing looks like it sits nice and low. I have a ultimak rail (that I haven't installed ) ,but I kinda don't like the idea of cooking my red dot on the gas tube lol.

*Edit I ordered the Attero mount and sold the ultimak.

F.T.C. Chinese Spiker. Imported by FTC, Woodland Hills, CA. I'm guessing around 1985-86.

This was made at the Norinco plant before Norinco was a business name.
Gun has the original 3 Chinese mags sealed up.
Gun came with sales ad from B&B Sales and was bought at the West Hollywood store where LAPD were loaned ARs and shotguns to stop the West Hollywood bank robbery years later.

A local had it. I was hoping to get it back into CA but after a month of talking to various CA FFLs it was determined to be a named AW. It is going to Texas today in order to bring something much nicer to Calgunners.
