Default Romulan SKSs

I've got the two Rommys I've been lusting after out of 10 day Kail Jail. A '59 & a '60, both rough looking which I guess is not uncommon. They're re-furbed with forced match, one has matching numbered stock, the others in a black Tapco (original furniture is cracked), bayos, no slings, rods, or kits. I'm happy. Also picked up 2 Glenfield 75 carbines configured a little differently from each other. '60 top, '59 bottom. The '60s stock is cracked at the pistol grip and came in a black Tapco. I put it back in the OG wood for picts. The '59 seems the better of the two and I'll probably clean it up and leave it be, as it looks as if it's seen action. I'm a very happy camper, $548 for both (with an extra stock & the Tapco), which is good by Kali standards and very hard to find at those prices these days. The market here has gone crazy with the SKS baseline now at $400 and inventory thin. That's 6 for me. Egyptian Contract, Sino-Soviet, /26\ in Drag, a Paratrooper, and these guys. SKSer will be happy I turned my Yugo into 3 Mosins (Finn capture 91/30 & 2 M44s) PAX

yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so pretty!!!!!!!! you dun good! Nice looking romy's too and the price you got for both of them is a steal!

Even though they are a bit rough and non-matching they will make great shooters. Also those are more common now with Romy's as they are getting hard to find! well done Pax!

Let's not forget about Tasha Yar's daughter.

Good catch echo1! I've got a Romanian that I'm trying to rebuild original. The butt portion of the stock broke off and someone drove a nail in, it was missing the rear sight, both pistons, firing pin..and some one chromed the bayonet. So far I just used extra chicom parts I have lying around and am waiting for a real stock to appear one day.

Would a Romulan SKS still fire primitive cartridges or would it have been adapted to Disruptor technology?

It's good to know that even in the future someone is still making SKS's.

I got a Klingon hook-up that deals out of the tunk of his Bird-of-Prey, and since they're C&R, he didn't even ask for ID. I had a 40watt plasma rifle to trade but he wasn't interested. PAX

Nice good deal. Yeah the Romanians tend to be rough side especially the stock I don't know why because the metal is usually in nice condition.

Did you know that Romulan weapons never need reloading because they are powered by an artificial Singularity(black hole)? That rough wood...that was carved by an emotional romulan craftsman!..

My friend has one that looks similar..I think all the Romulans were ridden hard and put away crying..emotional beings that they are..

All SKS rifles are cool -- even the Romulan ones.

To commemorate your acquisition, you should go out and get some Romulan Ale. Anything more than one bar of gold pressed latnum is way too much. LOL

Your Rommys look great, good to see other Trekkies (full/partials/?) out here as well!

Yugos aren't SKS - remember? They are a 59/66. And I sold mine; the heavy sewer pipe on the end made it way too long and clumsy. I actually like my paratrooper best for shooting and think the original design would have been improved with a shorter barrel. My Tula is, by far, the coolest SKS I own though.

That is awesome. I had no idea the SKS made it all the way to Romulus.

I wonder who gave them the plans? I suspect:
