It doesn't do any good to "bump" this thread without more info.

Got a Remington UMC valuepak (250 rd) of 40cal, 180 grn at P2K this evening (practice stuff). $99. Other brands and calibers in stock as well. Nice drive too.

It's not that, rather most of us are just over the whole stupid thing. If the 'ammo gougers/flippers/hoarders want it that bad they can HAVE it...

I rarely buy local. I've been buying online and it's still cheaper, even with the shipping fees. Cabela's has had some really good prices on .223 and I've bought 5 boxes (their limit per day) for the last 5 days.
I've been stocking up before they enact all the new ammo rules in this state |

Just stopped-by Turner's in San Marcos.
They had about 10 cases of 500rd .40S&W for $198.00. Lots of 50rd boxes of PMC Bronze .45ACP for $26.00. Lots of assorted 12-gauge shotty ammo. I think I saw some 5.56 and 7.62 too. No 9mm in sight though. |

Just to reiterate what others have already said, RELAX, don't buy unless you MUST buy. The out of control demand from the panic buyers will continue to prop up high prices. I've seen a significant increase in availability and caliber types over the past month or so, via both brick-n-mortar and on-line vendors. Prices are slowly dropping. If you don't have to buy/shoot...don't. It will only help you in the long run.

I stopped by Big 5 Kearny Mesa and there was a good amount on the shelves. Not amazing prices but okay prices. No 22, I don't own a 9 so I don't remember if there was any other than that they had a decent selection to choose from. This was yesterday around 6pm. Didn't buy anything as I don't need it, was just hoping ammo prices dropped to a reasonable level.
