marysville job wanted 10$/hr
Could be out of work starting December 1 due to lapsed certification. I am required to have this Cert in hand to work in my current position. Due to the time things take with the state I might not have a valid cert when my old one expires. I am currently looking for full time/part time/side work, at 10$/hr in the marysville area.
Work Exp: 3 years Army 1 year National Guard 1 year in security work (Guard card is not current) 1 year assisted living with dementia and Alzheimer residents 1.5 years Nurse Assistant in skilled nursing facility General labor/ farm work (not on paper) I love working with firearms, teaching people about them, and finding them the right fit for their goals. (I have no work experience selling or training people in the use of firearms but I would not shy away from it.) Thanks I have a few things I can chase down but the medical field does not really offer the best schedules unless you end up working in a doctors private practice

No luck as of yet I am in the process of closing on the house and packing while my wife and I take care of 2 kids and both work full time I think both our heads will explode by the end of the week.
Right now I'm looking at staying with my current employer as I already have pto setup for or wedding in the beginning of Aug and not to many places would be willing to give a new hire time off much less hire someone who is asking for a week off right off the bat. Codded: yes I have been looking on indeeds mobile app thanks for the suggestion |

a stick is all i drive, and I looked into a CDL paid for by me to better my apps with PG&E but I cannot afford the overall cost of getting one alone right now. With the 90$ for a medical exam 66$-ish for the DMV and $$god knows for a truck rental it's just out of the family budget. At this point Everything is out of the bidget because all Im seeing is minus signs and red ink.

Did you use your gi bill yet? Also may want to look into voc rehab with the VA. They cover costs for certain and training

I have used part of it but not all of it. As far as I am aware (which is a statement that always means more homework needs to be done on the matter ) voc rehab is 'normally' only available for those who can no longer maintain employment in a given field I may qualify now because my new cert is not here yet but I just received word it should be in the mail yesterday. Never hurts to call and ask, Ill be placing a call on monday good idea thanks. All good ideas and much appreciated.

Found out that I do not qualify for vrap due to the age reqs and more. There is, however, a program that just started up that will help me get a CDL but it is so new the rep did not know the name of it. I have requests in for all my prior training docs (that are not listed on my 214) in hopes that it will show an employer that I am not a stranger to air brakes, 8X8 drive, and general large trucks with very explosive cargo. Thank you Terdog for the well wishes I will be looking further into the mystery program in the coming days.

Found a 2012 program for veterans and active duty to get CDL but the limit I'm seeing is 12 months after service or active duty. I am at 7 years post lol

Have you checked with Cal EDD? They have such programs. I personally knew a co-worker that went that route with free training provided by EDD.
I totally understand the tight budget syndrome. But, just to let you know, there are private trianers that can help out people like you. If you go to a commercial DMV, youll find out who they are. Theres a guy that works outta the West Sac DMV. Ive talked to him. for about $500, he will let you drive his class A and bobtail trailer. Hell take you out on the actual DMV test route, while he teaches you all the answers to thier driving test questions (cola test, etc). Then you use his truck for the test. You still gotta get your permit 1st. But, its still $500 + the tests. Last edited by terdog; 11-22-2012 at 7:29 AM.. |
